*Speaking of Baby Blankets*

Again, I've been a little bored in the evenings. I have a tough time the older I get, just sitting and watching TV. And, since I'm a self-confessed TV-a-holic, this isn't a good thing!

So, to keep my hands busy for the last few weeks, I have been crocheting again.

I created another baby blanket (cuz honestly, I don't know what else I can crochet since I can't follow a pattern) using a super-soft verigated yarn and a double-crochet stitch. I then did a border in a green yarn in a single crochet.

I'm now out of yarn....

  2. This is just lovely. I, too, find it difficult to sit and "do nothing" while I'm in front of the TV in the evening. I've taken up crocheting again, also.

I'm like you - don't want to do anything complicated. But they have such beautiful yarns these days that a simple pattern like you did can be stunning!

  3. How pretty, Nancy! I admire people that can do anything with yarn- I certainly cannot! :)

  4. this is gorgeous! reading patterns is not that difficult (IMO) you can see in the back of books with instructions of the different stitches & it gives you the abbreviations, practice...you will be pleased with what you can make! but then again, why fix what ain't broke? your blankets are so pretty regardless of the stitch or lack of pattern!

  8. This is a really pretty blanket and looks so soft.
I'm thinking about getting back into crocheting too when watching T.V. Mainly to keep me out of the pantry...lol.

  9. So pretty, Nancy! Patterns are not that hard to follow, missy! Just pick out an easy one at first. But if you can do single and double crochet then you are set! You can do it...I mean look at this one! :0)
