*You've Got To Be Kidding Me*

I received a handful of feedblitz notices this morning that people have unsubscribed from my blog. One said "will not disclose", two said "subscribing by another method"... and one? One said (you won't believe this) "too few updates". Didn't I just get a notice earlier this week that I update too much?

There really isn't any chance of pleasing everyone I guess!

I will admit that people unsubscribing is a little like a slap in the face.... you liked my stuff enough to subscribe, but now you don't like it? It kind of feels like getting chosen last in a schoolyard pick for a soccer game.

Oh well....

To those of you who still subscribe, who still pop by, who still enjoy.... this card is for you!

I created this card using the same template from the bird card I created a few weeks ago.

This card was made for my mother-in-law's 65th birthday.

Items Used:
*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Basic Black
*Patterned Paper: Stampin' Up! in Rose Red
*Images: Hanna Stamps
*Ink: Stampin' Up! Rose Red
*Embellishments: Dew Drops; flowers; jewel brad; Gold Shimmering Mist

  3. Nancy, try not to take it personally. I know when I discovered Google Reader I unsubbed from nearly all (I finally unsubbed from the few remaining a week ago) my subscriptions so I could use my Reader instead. I found that I received blog updates quicker through my Reader and it was easier to read and allows you to easily tag posts so you can go back later. Perhaps the "will not disclose" and the "too few updates" were accidental in choosing a reason why. Your blog is wonderful and trust me when I say you still have me here! {{{HUGS}}}

  4. Nancy... I subscribe to your blog thru bloglines... I very seldom comment on anyone's blog but I READ what is written and look at the wonderful inspiration... Just wanted you to know that you still have readers out here! No, you can't please everyone, and you don't have to try!

  5. I think it is something wrong with Feedblitz. Because every blog I subscribe to came up with an error message in it's delivery today which is a first. '403 forbidden'has changed. You might want to look into that. And it gives you the option to safely unsubscribe. So that might be the reason people subscribed.

  8. I too think there may be something wrong with Feedblitz. I thought I would try to subscribe to see if it's any different that subscribing via googles blog reader and I never got subscribed. I'm sticking with blog reader and read every post you put up. I love your blog. Keep up the good work! ~chris

  9. Love the card and the dew drops!! I get those too and it is sad. I assume when they are subscribing by another method that they have switched over to googlereader so that's not so bad but I'm not sure when I get those undisclosed ones....things that make you go hmmmm....

I do understand how you feel though, i have had a lot of unsubscribing on my blog lately too, and i have never been given a reason. I try not to let it get to me but it does.

Just wanted to let you know I am a huge fan of yours!

  12. I have been scrolling thru my Reader and at least a dozen others are reporting the same thing. I think its a feedblitz problem and I cut ties to them a while back because the site and feeds were always screwed up. I would switch to Feedburner if you use Blogger or Google-they are the same company.

  15. Gorgeous card! Love primas...really need to follow your lovely example and use them!

I think there is a natural migration to blog readers as people become more aware of them. Myself, when I first started "blufing" I only subscribed via email, now I have switched a lot of them over to a reader.

Beautiful stuff here Nancy...my first visit, and I've added you to my reader!

  16. Keep in mind that some of your loyal "subscribers" keep up with you on google reader. I don't subscribe because I don't like to get so many emails but I do see your posts every day. And you're right! You'll never make everyone happy. But, you make me happy!

  17. Your card is lovely Nancy!!! I don't worry anymore when people unscribe. It used to bug me but it's almost better to not know who subscribes and who unscribes.

Hope your day is going well!
