*A Day Off*

I am enjoying a day off today. Just can't decide what to do with it. Instead of being productive for the last 90 minutes I've been blog surfing and watching Top Chef. I could have gone out to run my errands, been stamping or been reading. I need to finish the book I am reading as our "Breaking Dawn" will arrive today and I want to start it as soon as Alex is finished reading it.

We went to see Cirque du Soleil Corteo last night.... and I loved it. We saw Cirque Niagra in Niagra Falls two years ago which was awesome (but not a Cirque du Soleil show). Bruce and I went to see Zumanity in Vegas but it wasn't a traditional Cirque du Soleil show. It was good, but there wasn't a lot of that draw-dropping wonder that I expected.

But Corteo.... wow.... there were several times that I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. What a wonderful performance. If you have the opportunity, please go!!

I created this card on the weekend using another AnniVERVEsary sketch. This is sketch #3. I used Imaginisce patterned paper and added some Taken With Teal cardstock to make it all pop. The flower is by Prima and the brads are black flocked brads. I didn't have any ribbon that was even close to Taken With Teal so I took a length of white grosgrain ribbon and ran my Stampin' Up! marker along it to create the coloured ribbon. I set it aside for a bit to dry and then ran it through a paper towel to remove the excess colour. Again, I used a corner rounder (without the corner guide) to create the scalloped border. Yes, the new Stampin' Up! Scallop Border punch is on my list of what to buy with my first order out of the new catalogue!

Thanks for popping by!!!

  1. I love the new blog. I hadn't seen it yet as I was reading off of google reader. I got Breaking Dawn when I was in Texas and am now 260 pages into the drama. I think you will enjoy it. A lot has happened so far. I am excited for the Twilight movie in the fall or was it December?

I love that you have the countdowns to the HP and Twilight movies on your sidebar. I can't believe how invested I currently am in this Twilight series. I'm not getting any sleep, because I can't put Breaking Dawn down!!!
