*MojoMonday on a Tuesday*

I'm so sorry for there not being a blog post with something to look at lately! Time just seemed to get away from me and I had no idea it had been so long! I knew I had posted, but didn't think that those posts were all just text... nothing to look at. I was going to say, "nothing pretty to look at" but I didn't want to appear to be full of myself.

As you all know, I love the sketches that Julee comes up with for MojoMonday. I have always been drawn to her sketches. I'm not sure what it is, but they really sing to me. Maybe it's because Julee and I share a birthay?? LOL

As it is the first MojoMonday of the month, there is a prize (or several) up for grabs on the MojoMonday blog. All you have to do to win is create a card using this weeks' sketch and use Mr. Linky to post your creation to their blog. Julee will be drawing for winners next week.

I had fun creating this card. I knew I wanted to use light blue, black and white and I settled on these awesome papers from Sonburn Designs to create my card. Lately when doing these sketches, I have the entire card put together before I've chosen the images I've wanted to use. That's so backwards to me. But it's working right now, so I won't complain!

A few notes about my MojoMonday#89 card... I really didn't like the inverted scallops when I first saw them. Then, a few weeks ago, I saw where someone had used the inverted scallop circle with a scallop circle to create an almost bubbled-edged effect... and I had to have them. I am enjoying playing with their placement with a regular scallop circle to create different looks.

Also, the flower... I love these Brides flowers from Michaels. What you can't see in the photo is how the flower still shimmers even after I've coloued it with my Copics! I love that I have any colour of flower, any time I want it. I should buy more. To create the centre of the flower, I punched a circle in black using my 1/8" circle punch and I put it on the centre of the flower with my Quickie Glue Pen.

And finally... I used Versafine ink on this one. I love my Memento ink when I'm going to be colouring an image with Copics, but the Versafine is just so much better for details... in my opinion, it stamps more cleanly. I tend to grab for it a little more often lately.
