*I CASEd Myself, CASEing Susan*

Well, my running career may be put on hold.... yesterday on the treadmill I started to feel some pain in my right knee. I was walking down some stairs last night and suddenly there was a sharp shooting pain through my knee. This morning it's still stiff and a little sore. From what I have read and what I've been told, I think I need to spend some time strenghtening my knees. So I guess there will be some on the bike and doing some light leg weights in my future. We'll see how it goes.

I'm truly disappointed about the glitch in my plan. I don't want to injure myself for the sake of running. I know what chronic pain is like and it sucks. I plan on getting back to the running, but it might be a few weeks.

I also did weights yesterday and I woke up this morning with a tight spot right behind my left shoulder blade. Talk about uncomfortable. I am doing my best to stretch it as often as I can... wish my massage was today instead of two days ago!

Apparently this getting in shape thing sucks LOL! This is the most I've hurt since I started back to the gym 10 days ago.

On to the card....

I created this card by CASEing THIS card, which was a CASE of THIS card I saw on Susan's blog. I wanted some that was simple yet stunning to send to Julie for her birthday... she and I share a birthday in July.

I just love this design... Susan rocks the simple cards!! Be sure to take some time to check out her creations!

Items Used:
*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Whisper White
*Images: Stampin' Up! Doodle This; Inkadinkadoo
*Ink: Rocket Red Brilliance (embossed with Clear Embossing Powder); Versafine Onyx Black; black fine tip pen
*Embellishments: Kaiser Pearls; Kaiser Rhinestones

I cheat a little to create the square on my card.... instead of using my ruler and hoping I line things up, I cut a piece of cardstock to the size I wanted and traced around it after all my stamping was done (and dry... very important stamp when you use the Versafine ink on SU Whisper White cardstock).

  1. Sorry to hear that! I was looking forward to seeing you there. I will be there Friday from 9:30-11:00 if you want to do weights.
Love, love, love the card. I love the simplicity of it, but yet elegant.

  2. Hey, go slow there girlie!!
You don't want to screw your knees up or your shoulders for that matter.
    I personally think lifting anything
heavier than a stamp is "very dangerous!" LOL
A good walk is always a safe bet.
Love all your creations the past few days. Good job!

  3. Hey, pushing 40 is better than the alternative when you really think about it. Slow down, heal, and appreciate life. That's advice from a 42-year-old, you know!

Your card is great. Love how you pulled the sentiment up to balance with the smaller image better. And thanks so much for the call-out! *blushing*
