I love to create with beautiful blooms! For my card today, I did something a little different. I purchased a 6x6 paper pack a few weeks ago and some of the designs just won't work on a card... unless you get creative. I took one of the pages and cut out a portion of a rainbow floral wreath and used it with an oval frame to create my card. As I was busy cutting this out, I was taken back to my childhood... I remember my Mom, sitting at the dining room table, doing Paper Tole... she'd purchase these packages of images where there were different elements with different layers to cut and then she'd use some sort of dimensional adhesive (silicon maybe?) to layer up the different parts of the image to create a 3D piece... and then she got them framed in deep frames to show off all of that dimension. My Mom LOVED her Xacto knife! I do not LOL!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqJoYubVYjXq_WN0z9vXicXYCpacMGpMhwYk1qaZpGZTsNoJVwzFp00MOJZJj-3n_mXy8yhwh5OKFs1TBXYdhHhdPuHx6M7V74MOfCWKGmRUjRS8ZuhnUiS7qVqrmOZs_C_ybwR5xPwTVGcjG9HqohnXzSibReA6JAP0r5K1UsqjRM1LIvUBkJRQ/s1444/2024-054.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1444" data-original-width="1444" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqJoYubVYjXq_WN0z9vXicXYCpacMGpMhwYk1qaZpGZTsNoJVwzFp00MOJZJj-3n_mXy8yhwh5OKFs1TBXYdhHhdPuHx6M7V74MOfCWKGmRUjRS8ZuhnUiS7qVqrmOZs_C_ybwR5xPwTVGcjG9HqohnXzSibReA6JAP0r5K1UsqjRM1LIvUBkJRQ/s320/2024-054.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Card Info<div>*Patterned Paper: Paper Rose Studio Rainbow Twirls</div><div>*Cardstock: Spellbinders Gold Foil</div><div>*Images: MFT Something for Everything</div><div>*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne</div><div>*Dies: Stampin' Up! It's time for an EASTER themed challenge over at <a href="https://cleanandsimpleonsunday.blogspot.com/2024/03/challenge-279-easter.html" target="_blank">CAS on Friday</a>! It's so hard to believe that Easter is only a few weeks away... it's SO early this year!</p><p>I honestly didn't have any truly Easter themed stuff in my stash so I had to go shopping ... and I found these great bunny dies. I cut them out of my white panel and layered the patterned paper behind them. For my sentiment, I found one in my stash that says "happy days are here again" and didn't stamp the "a" in happy... and hand wrote the letter "o" in the spot that was left...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh55Qt01ylQxLWOJW7Bun7Hxljaw53-T7eL5cHWiT7rRz6T4XllaTyB214NBSJFERHtxxR28dLAxJc0hDjxLrARJ0oHgZRMRTsW8NzNM8wtFhGqIZBLGFomEUoWPHygTGvpVuDIzugIVJJG3gEONeGbJtucok066AB5EAccLGpp8W_wloARBiHsOw/s1344/2024-065.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1344" data-original-width="1344" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh55Qt01ylQxLWOJW7Bun7Hxljaw53-T7eL5cHWiT7rRz6T4XllaTyB214NBSJFERHtxxR28dLAxJc0hDjxLrARJ0oHgZRMRTsW8NzNM8wtFhGqIZBLGFomEUoWPHygTGvpVuDIzugIVJJG3gEONeGbJtucok066AB5EAccLGpp8W_wloARBiHsOw/s320/2024-065.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Card Info<div>*Cardstock: Stampin Up! My front panel is where the shaker is, so I used foam adhesive to get it all on the front of my card and added my shaker elements behind an acetate panel. I then took the butterly that I had cut out and glued it in to the negative space, but only glued down the centre part. I then curved up the wings a big to add dimension and allow you to see the shaker stuff.</p><p>One tip with a shaker card panel like this? Make sure you do your stamping before you add the foam adhesive!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhdayoIm5IU2Tf3q4ukZlOWfKEjGtX7lZETy-neCZXDjwi5BVS3F_Gn_1fxd0_yNAWrucDnix2nPPRbdvkzqjvmxL6NxWVviFM1fvl613kSejlCHb_SwZPzbrf4ZqovJcm9WvkYPtApzfAydxMLA5B4C0hYOU2E49PPbBD1l5p_K2eAal2JEo-NA/s1785/2024-032.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1785" data-original-width="1785" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhdayoIm5IU2Tf3q4ukZlOWfKEjGtX7lZETy-neCZXDjwi5BVS3F_Gn_1fxd0_yNAWrucDnix2nPPRbdvkzqjvmxL6NxWVviFM1fvl613kSejlCHb_SwZPzbrf4ZqovJcm9WvkYPtApzfAydxMLA5B4C0hYOU2E49PPbBD1l5p_K2eAal2JEo-NA/s320/2024-032.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Card Info<div>*Images: Pink Fresh Studio Happy Birthday Sentiment</div><div>*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne</div><div>*Dies: MFT Stitched Rectangles; unknown butterfly<br /><p><br /></p></div>Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07636851065091287277noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34546850.post-9561569005890804912024-02-25T13:48:00.006-07:002024-02-25T13:49:31.706-07:00*A Simple Floral*<p> I created this card way back in January and it kind of kept getting pushed back instead of being shared... it's the only card I have in my stash to be blogged that isn't for a design team at the moment. It's a bright and sunny and not so bad day for mid-February. I'm loving how the sun is up longer and longer every day right now... I even leave work a few days a week where it's not pitch black now (and I need my sunglasses for the drive in too). It's always nice to see the signs that winter will soon be behind us.</p><p>I have spent a little time in my craft room this weekend... some of it productive, some of it not LOL! I did spend some time cutting some card bases and layers to increase my stash. Not a fun or creative job, but something that was needing to be done.</p><p>In some of the creative moments, I made a card that I'm entering in the challenges as Just Us Girls and Just Add Ink...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixC-jSWiLUt1r8aCGJwFMuklJkwmXJi4UQ_8QorECp2BljVBjPrKcKXvBo-9Lao8CyEZjghlTGeBL_Zi4fAkQxJHLp2jf1aiM4SsYUl5anww8Bn71vtlJs4KqxwUvpSbSIERf5uRrs_ZvX5fBen-gqD2OOxn1DQEBtVJuQkCi6ImzzO97TntHY6Q/s2093/2024-044.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2093" data-original-width="2093" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixC-jSWiLUt1r8aCGJwFMuklJkwmXJi4UQ_8QorECp2BljVBjPrKcKXvBo-9Lao8CyEZjghlTGeBL_Zi4fAkQxJHLp2jf1aiM4SsYUl5anww8Bn71vtlJs4KqxwUvpSbSIERf5uRrs_ZvX5fBen-gqD2OOxn1DQEBtVJuQkCi6ImzzO97TntHY6Q/s320/2024-044.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Card Info<div>*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Come see what the rest of the players created by visiting my <a href="https://www.instagram.com/nauntie/" target="_blank">Instagram account</a>. You'll find the post (dated February 17 2024) and will be able to click to see all of the other creations. We'd LOVE it if you gave us some love!</p><p>Here's how it works... each month we have a theme to work with (this month, as I mentioned, it's birthday)... we then make a total of three projects (I choose to do cards) using this theme AND we have to have at least one thing that is recurring in all three cards... a colour combination, stamps, dies, technique... at least one thing that is in all three cards.</p><p>I like to challenge myself to do a little more than one recurring thing in all three cards... this month, all three of my cards are portrait orientation, all three use the same patterned paper, the same embossing folder and the same stamp!</p><p>Here are my creations.... </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHEITIin-KxMQTIv93GLLoEe7ZRI-1eL1H7tqfhZjftRKLaVLu0J7ApCesqLXRZK9uPdG2cOtfaRswLQXR4P03sPRQWFJBDmWEJIui7BQzTtVtxIMudorK9UGXxt9Vq1qyP-CfSgC8nOiK6IBpntHBeo1EH0SkjNDoty5FLKMvFu4VlVRt8vEkiQ/s1699/2024-027.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1699" data-original-width="1699" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHEITIin-KxMQTIv93GLLoEe7ZRI-1eL1H7tqfhZjftRKLaVLu0J7ApCesqLXRZK9uPdG2cOtfaRswLQXR4P03sPRQWFJBDmWEJIui7BQzTtVtxIMudorK9UGXxt9Vq1qyP-CfSgC8nOiK6IBpntHBeo1EH0SkjNDoty5FLKMvFu4VlVRt8vEkiQ/s320/2024-027.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>For this first one, I stamped my sentiment on a cut down piece of white cardstock. Once it was dry, I put it through my Big Shot after lining up the big circle of the embossing folder.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSQAbORbkhrIF6j8vNuzCAUT4WzGGq33h4fCHTMmiA6CsJ6bX8emtbTCjfIrsDyBvLIZbUtvG0Cddp5WhSimk3U_De1DFZ2he-4jlukXzsHhWhgxtUb5-oOgdEWAU51IsbnQdNi5W-sfa3AjYY1NRvc4-cvViasxW6TAS0EbiNHxkaqIE1AjdHQA/s1820/2024-028.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1820" data-original-width="1820" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSQAbORbkhrIF6j8vNuzCAUT4WzGGq33h4fCHTMmiA6CsJ6bX8emtbTCjfIrsDyBvLIZbUtvG0Cddp5WhSimk3U_De1DFZ2he-4jlukXzsHhWhgxtUb5-oOgdEWAU51IsbnQdNi5W-sfa3AjYY1NRvc4-cvViasxW6TAS0EbiNHxkaqIE1AjdHQA/s320/2024-028.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>This second one is pretty straight forward.... I had the embossed background and added a strip of the patterned paper down the centre of it.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVXELMa4kAmz7NOhJmqiwdiSFnFErUdbjQ0hg1okoX0bAtARKT0wJEewzDBYptOmFb85BsE749WEahX5p44MoEsptAdV4XeqkxipOF-_l7Lpj7lVGfSIQ7f7yJ0qb8A5I5na29IPoolqKFeHr9j7L8iOWtF1dN5YIhGSKnjhP5oCbXi4h00eLr2g/s1684/2024-029.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1684" data-original-width="1684" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVXELMa4kAmz7NOhJmqiwdiSFnFErUdbjQ0hg1okoX0bAtARKT0wJEewzDBYptOmFb85BsE749WEahX5p44MoEsptAdV4XeqkxipOF-_l7Lpj7lVGfSIQ7f7yJ0qb8A5I5na29IPoolqKFeHr9j7L8iOWtF1dN5YIhGSKnjhP5oCbXi4h00eLr2g/s320/2024-029.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>For this third card, I had the embossed panel and cut it in to three pieces. I put one piece on the green layer (before cutting it down with the Perfect Layers tool) then added in a strip of the patterned paper... then the centre piece, and a strip of the pattern paper, and then finally the last piece of the embossed cardstock. I then used the Perfect Layers tool and my Xacto knife to create the green border.<div><br /></div><div>Card Info<div>*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Granny Apple Green</div><div>*Paper: Stampin' Up!
