Welcome to a brand new year of challenges with Time Out Challenges! We are welcoming Jaydee to our team with our first challenge of 2026! She's a fabulous card maker that I've been following for a while.
Our challenge this week is sponsored by Gina K Designs!
What a fun prompt for a new year! I just wish my card would have photographed better! I decided to dig in to my stash of items that I inherited when my Mom passed away. She LOVED the Glitter Ritz glitters and I took all of it home with me! I don't pull it out very often because it's so messy, but it sure is pretty!
I took a piece of pattern paper (also really old from my stash) and covered the panel in double sided adhesive before sprinkling a clear glitter all over the top. I burned it down to make sure it really stuck on there. Believe me when I say, this panel really sparkles!!

I like the technique you used to make the patterned paper glittery. Now I want to try it out. So pretty! What a cheerful card in color, design and glitter!
ReplyDeleteNancy, thank you so much for the warm welcome! I just love that you used glitter that was used by your Mom. That just warms my heart. Your glittery flowers are perfectly framed with that thin black mat. I also love that you used a single white flower to anchor your sentiment. Fabulous card.

This is a great card, Nancy. I can see the glitter when I enlarge the photo. I love the colors you used, and I too love that the glitter was a favorite of your mother. I have to try that technique. I rarely use glitter, but I sure have a lot of it!
ReplyDeleteI've tried that technique before so I know just how glittery and beautiful your card is, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy card Nancy - love the colours ... and the sparkle! And the connection with your mother! Hugs, Kate!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful fun happy card Nancy! I love all that glitter - it's just a shame it's so difficult to photograph but I know it would be super sparkly IRL! I think many of us had the same issues!! I know I did! :( It is extra special as it uses all your mum's glitters and great when you can use some DP from you stash! Love it!! Happy 2026! :)
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how sparkly your card is IRL! The patterned paper is so pretty and I love the addition of the white flower and the placement of the sentiment. I love using my Dad's old art tools:)
