Finally. The kids have a half day today and then summer break officially begins. They've both had great teachers this year and have both had shown us what they are capable of academically. Today ends a chapter in Alex's life as he'll be leaving the school he's been at (it's a grade 4-9 Middle School) to start grade 7 at a school for Gifted kids in the fall. I'm a little sad about that, but excited for the opportunities ahead of him. Matthew will be moving up to grade 5 next year and I'm sure that he will continue to grow and blossom.
I have two hours of work I need to put in at the school today and then I too, am officially off for the summer. Not that my work is hard. But by the end of June one is rather tired of playing maid in the lunchroom. Today we'll be continuing on the work we did yesterday... sorting the locks numerically to make it easy for next year. At least there's four of us, not just me, stuck in an office, opening locks!
Today's card is one for another of Beate's sketch challenges, but since I forgot to post yesterday, I'm too late for the draw. But that's OK. I absolutely fell in love with this sketch. It is so easy to do and I love how it looks!

ReplyDeleteThis card is really cute. I am new to blogging and have enjoyed finding everyone. I didn't get a chance to do Beate's card this weekend. You did a great job.
