kellyshadow@yahoo.com
You have now hit 100,000! I just looked. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have much planned here for New Year's, but most of the time we end up going out to see a movie.
Merry Christmas from one Nancy to another.
turkey1969@yahoo.com
My New Year Eve's are pretty boring but I like them. Dinner and a movie.
ReplyDeleteBoring here!!! We don't go out on New Years Eve-we stay home and have a nice dinner and maybe watch a movie. I can't remember the last time we stayed up til midnight. Thanks for asking and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteCheryl Sims
Congrats on all those hits! You definitely deserve it...I always look forward to your great creations!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor New Years I'm planning on getting together w/ my girlfriends here at my house since DH is a k-9 officer and won't be around.

Hey Nancy! Congrats on your hits!!!
ReplyDeleteThis year we are heading to Calgary! I'm going to spend it with some friends. I was offered a job down there and we are seriously considering moving! YAH!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Congratulations on the 100,000 you amazing blogger, you! Merry Christmas to you & the fam!
ReplyDeleteWe'll spend NYE with my parents & grandparents... having a delicious dinner and playing games.
Cindy

Hi Nancy - Congrats!
ReplyDeleteUsually every NYE we go over to my SIL's for food, skating on the lake and hanging out with friends & family, than we watch the countdown on TV, hug, etc & than it's straight home, I can barely stay up that late! It's also my FIL's birthday so it's all good - but, this year I think it might be up in the air.
Merry Christmas!
Michelle

This is too funny...we usually just stay home but this year we are going to the bowling alley (yes I said bowling alley) for a New Years Eve Party. They will have glo bowling, prizes, food, noise makers and champagne. We are going with two other couples. It goes from 9:30 - 12:30. What a hoot.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100,000 hits...that's amazing.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
Diane860@aol.com
It's my hubby's birthday so it's always a party!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all those hits!! We will visit friends who have kids the same age as ours and just hang out - until the kids meltdown!
ReplyDeleteWe prefer not to get out in all of the craziness so we will be staying home watching Dick Clark again and hoping to stay awake long enough to see the ball drop! Congratulations on 10k!
ReplyDeleteIf there is a good movie at the theatre, we go out to that-usually a happy funny one. But it doesnt look like that will happen this year, so I will watch the ball drop, try to calm my dogs because all the idiot gun nuts out there will be shooting off thier guns and then go to bed. I always run a 5K on NY day.
ReplyDeleteCongrats chickadee! I imagine I will do what I do every year...blurf, craft and fall asleep on the couch with DH! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...well seeing as this is our first new years with our son....I am not too sure what we will do. My parents are trying to convince my husband and I to go out to a dinner party...but we aren't sure about leaving our son. I think we will go though!! Nice of my parents to babysit!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family and I hope that you have some snow for Christmas, Here in BC we only have RAIN!!! BOOOO
Wow!! That is a ton of hits! Congrats on this huge milestone! For New Year's...we usually don't do a whole lot now that we have a daughter. She doesn't let anyone else put her to bed, so we will probably stick around home.
ReplyDeleteCheryl KVD
cak_ie@hotmail.com
Pretty boring here too, Nancy. We will probably go out to dinner or order in, then I will probably watch a movie with my teenage son and hubby. Then we "try" to stay up until the ball drops. Hubby is an early bird, and Cody and I are night owls. *wink* Kelly
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and congrats on 100,000 hits! Count me in on this mystery candy, cuz whatever it is it will be FUN FUN FUN. We watch movies and at midnight we get pots and pans and go outside and start banging them to start the New Year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance.
cmeyers@hughes.net
Some friends are coming over to watch movies and eat all the left-over Christmas cookies. None of us are drinkers or partiers, so I'll bet that our get-together breaks up before midnight and we will all be asleep when 2008 arrives.
ReplyDeleteMy plans are to stay home watch movies, eat popcorn and cuddle with my sweetie.
ReplyDeleteWhat we normally do these days is watch the fireworks on TV and then bring the New Year in with some bubbly. I knpw it is nothing exciting but it works for us.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Christmas and 2008 blesses you in many wonderful ways.
Congrats on the hits and thanks for the chance to win some blog candy.
dragonflydreams@bigpond.com
Congrats on all the hits Nancy!! We all love your blog.
ReplyDeleteWe are planning on getting together with a few other families from our dd's kindergarten to have a party at the kindergarten. Kids will have "disco" in one room, adults in another. Should be fun!! :-) Of course, it will all be in German which makes it even more interesting.
I usually have to play in a concert on new years's day (Viennese-style), so we just spend the day and early part of the evening with family, playing games and chatting.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 100k hits- that is totally awesome!
Ros
Congratulations on your milestone! We share the day with family, having dinner and watching movies! Happy New Year to Everyone! Hugs Kay M. petking@vcn.com

After the rush of xmas with the grandkids, we're always ready for a nice quiet evening at home. We've started a tradition (probably 10 years ago or so) of finding a good movie on tv, lighting a fire in the fireplace (if it's a blue polution day that is) and cooking up some crab legs. Yummy - can't wait!
ReplyDeleteOops - forgot my email address: pereira@mudmaven.com
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Nancy to you and your family. I am definitely a fan of your blog and visit it every day - glad I could help take you to 100000 hits!
ReplyDeleteJanuary 1st is our anniversary so we always do something special - this year we've decided to do low key as next year is our 10th anniversary and we plan on doing it up 'big' so we thought it would be nice to keep it mellow this year. Dinner/movie and snuggles.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on so many hits. We plan to spend New Year's Eve at our beach place with a good movie, some yummy snacks and maybe a walk on the boardwalk of Ocean City, MD (depending on the weather).
ReplyDeletehaha - our new years eve plans are pretty lame for people who have no kids even! We are coming home from Vancouver from visiting family, but then driving from Calgary to Medicine Hat (our home) that day too. Then probably just spending a normal night at home.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 100K. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year too! I'm pretty quiet, stay at home, relax, movie, dinner, reflect on many things, look forward to a new year. I always make sure all my dishes & laundry is done by that evening because there is an old saying about that ?? boring I know. :) Have fun! JLM
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats!!!! We stay home with our three teenagers, hang out, play games, and watch movies. Happy New Year! ckemling@andersencorp.com
ReplyDeleteI spend New Year's Eve with my family watching a movie together and having unusual snacks and waiting for midnight to wish each other Happy New Year. I've always spent New Year's Eve with my family which I wouldn't change for the world. There is no other way I would want to start my New Year than with them.
ReplyDeleteWe plan on staying home with the girls, we play board games and watch movies. Can't forget about eating treats!
ReplyDeleteWe're planning to watch a movie, order pizza and hang out with the family.
ReplyDeleteWe will put the kids to bed. Curl up on the couch with a movie we haven't seen yet. Then we will probably wake up as the movie is going offand head to bed. Giving up yet again. Cause the kids will have up up before the sun.
ReplyDeletecamaro@gotsky.com
Congrats for all the hits! We will go to dinner with a bunch of friends and then either go for drinks and dancing or maybe back to someone's house for games. Hope you have a wonderful New Year.
ReplyDeletehi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteWe have a tradition where we get together with 4 -5 other couples and have a party! All our kids come so we don't have to pay big bucks for a babysitter and each family gets one room to put their kids to bed, after we have a kids countdown around 9pm. We play games, like charades and eat and laugh, laugh and laugh!
I'm looking forward to it but hoping I can stay up that late to party....usually until 2am or so!
Seasons Greetings!
Kerry

Happy New Year!!!
Aloha,

For New Year's Eve, we have another family gathering. Everyone who is in town comes over and at midnight, we serve noodles...noodles signify long life. In the evening, we are usually finishing the cooking for the New Year's celebration. which includes: sushi, shrimps, octopus, and other Japanese delicacies. Lots of work, but lots of fun!

ReplyDeleteNew Year's Eve...to avoid all the party people we go to church, then it's home for pizza and in bed before the clock even thinks about striking midnight.

Wow , lots of comments! We were going to have a quiet New Years Eve as usual, watching movies and bringing in the new year banging pots and pans out the front door and sending confetti all over the snow on the front lawn. WELL....plans have changed.....We are now having a big bash at our house and doing all that except not watching movies, we'll probably play some games instead, lol. Happy New Year to Everyone...Have a SAFE and HAPPY Holiday!
ReplyDeleteLinda Jones
Very quiet evening in since my Dad has only been home for 7 days....so my Mom's best friend just flew in from Vancouver and we will have a fondue night for new year's eve, just family. And probably a game of Trivial Pursuit :)

hengen@oanet.com
Hi Nancy and Family We usually overdo it at Christmas and by the time New Years rolls around, we are ready to drop. So that is what we do. We have our "STAFF" Party. The staff consists of Ed & myself.
ReplyDeleteWe usually have a light dinner and later the fun begins with horsdoeuvres while relaxing in bed with either a good movie on tv or a DVD. Then we treat ourselves to snackies all evening one at a time. Baby quiches, coconut shrim, kolbassa & cheese and crackers. Since we are way too medicinized for booze I usually buy a bottle of the non alcoholic bubbly for our New Years toast that we like to spend with Dick Clark since that is where our first New Year Eve began.
Congrats on hitting over the 100,000 and I was so happy to hear that you spent Christmas with your Mom. I am sure that she was so happy to have you all. I feel sorry that she has been feeling so rough the last few months.
Happy New Year to you all!! no matter how you spend the event. Don't know why but I always cry at New Years. LOL Crazy. Maybe because the years are going by way too fast.
cheers, Rozanne Knight

Can you believe it - 100,000 hits! Thats wonderful (but then again its a great blog to visit daily). Did you ever imagine back on Sept. 17, 06 that in just over 15 months there could be that incredible number?!? I still have your original post to CST in my mail box where you said "Hey All.... I finally took the plunge tonight and started myself a Blog. If you're interested, you'll find it at http://nancyscreativemess.
ReplyDeleteblogspot. com/ Please check back once in a while to see what else I am up to... I hope to update it at least once a week if not more.
Cheers"
Well, we have checked it "once in a while" (you have a large fan base) and you have certainly been more dedicated to all of us than just "updating it at least once a week". So thank you for all the wonderful art you create for our enjoyment and inspiration as well as for sharing your family (and Milo puppy) with us.
By the way, for New Years DH and I be staying at home enjoying our animals (he has 16 horses and I have 9 dogs) and renting a movie for the evening. We enjoy quiet times at home the best!
Take care, Ferne from near Lacombe

Congrats on the hits ! Wonder how many are mine as I check here often for inspiration !
ReplyDeleteI imagine we will spend New Year's Eve with friends though I would rather spend it with my Cricut making cards and doing some creative inxstead of listening to the same stories over and over!
Hope the New Year brings great ideas and lots of crafting !
dcrellin@telus.net
We will have some friends over and play cards or the new Wii. I will be tired on New Year's Day! Congratulations on the success of your blog!

ReplyDeleteAs for New Year's Eve, I'll be lucky if I stay up until midnight!! Well that's a bit of a fib, but we really don't do much. My kids like to go out at midnight and clank pots and pans but that's about as exciting as it gets around here (aren't we pathetic! hehehe)
All the best in 2008!!
Heather L.
Congrats on 100,000!! I plan to stay home with my 2 kids and dh and have a nice relaxing night. We plan to watch a movie and see how late the kids can stay up. Doubt they'll both make it to midnight, but it is fun to try!

we are planning to first attend a worship service at our church, then come home and play a game of cranium with whoever shows up... probably a quiet evening as some of my kids have other "plans"...that is it.. Happy New Year Nancy and family!!!
ReplyDeleteOur NYE has been a quiet one - just the 5 of us and some favorite snacks and board games and a movie.
ReplyDeleteWe always go bowling and then over to friends houses. Bowling is such a blast - with 7 families, we can have up to 30 people bowling. No matter how old the kids have gotten, if they live in our houses, they have to come bowling and then they can go out to their own parties etc.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Allison
