*{BYSHC} Sketch #48*

How on earth is it August 1st??!!  Where is this summer going?  It's been hot hot hot here in Calgary and the wildfire smoke from Jasper National Park has been coming and going in the city for the last week or so.  Summer goes by so fast...

As it's a new month, there is a new sketch at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers...

I went through my stash of patterned papers to find some options with diagonal stripes.  I settled on this one because I knew I wanted to play with a snowflake.  To create this card, I cut out the snowflake from the patterned paper, off to the side as you can see.  I then layered a piece of silver sparkle paper behind the patterned paper.   This was way easier than trying to get the die to cut through the sparkle paper (which is always a challenge, it seems).

  1. Beautiful! I haven’t tried cutting out the pattern paper and placing the sparkle paper behind it. Sounds like a good idea because the snowflakes are delicate. I love learning new ideas!
