Ahhhhh, I love an empty house (at least for a little while)! I stamped a bit yesterday morning while the kids were at school and was back at it again last night after everyone had left. I turned on my TV and off and I went. I plan on doing it again tonight!
But of course, as you read earlier, Bruce took the camera to the mountains (like we need photos of them skiing?? LOL!). So, I had to break out the scanner again. I haven't been using the scanner as much because you lose something with a flat flat image like this. Some of the cards I created didn't work with the scanner. Luckily, two did. So I have something to share this weekend!
Here is today's card.
I have been wanting to play with my Doodle This stamp set (available in the upcoming Spring Mini from Stampin' Up!) but just haven't known what to do with it. So last night I decided to colour one up with my SU markers and see what happened.
I stamped the image with Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and let it dry. I then coloured it using my SU markers in Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst and Rose Red. I layered it onto pieces of Celery and Rose and then onto the Amethyst card. I added a piece of grosgrain ribbon (that I got in the Ribbon Share that Jodi organized) and stamped a Hero Arts flourish in white craft ink.
More than anything, I really like the colour combination of this card... watch for the post tomorrow where I share another card with this same colour combination, but mixed up!
What brand is the flourish that you stamped in white to the right of the flower. I love that flourish!
