*Card from Bonnie*

As I wrote yesterday, I received a most beautiful card from my friend Bonnie last week.

A few weeks ago Bonnie mentioned that they needed a flute for their daughter Mary who is in the school band. Back in my youth, I was a flute player. I loved my flute. I never had to be bugged to practice because I just loved to play. But alas, my flute has been sitting in a drawer in this house for almost 11 years... and probably sat unplayed in previous dwellings adding on another 4 years or so.

So I offered it to Bonnie for Mary, with the warning that it would need some TLC and a trip to get cleaned up and checked out.

Bonnie took the flute in and found out it needed some polishing and bit of TLC but was still going to be less money than buying a new flute.

As a thank you, Bonnie made me this beautiful card and she and Mary signed it. They also gave me some money to go shopping for stamp stuff. How cool is that!

Can't tell you for sure all of the materials she used, but I can tell you that the card base is black, the silver layer was put through the Cuttlebug, the flower is a beauty of a Prima and the ribbon is a white sheer. No idea on the decorative centre of the Prima nor the clear acrylic tag that says "special".

Bonnie reads my blog faithfully so you can leave messages here for her if you want!

Thanks so much Bonnie (and Mary!)

  2. This is a beautiful card, Bonnie!! And that brad in the centre of the Prima is from Dollarama. I just picked up some of those for myself last week. I might have to find some of those big Primas now to go with them ;0)
