At least, I like to think it's clever.
I am using a lot more punches these days and I hate trying to guess what images or embellishments will fit on what punched out shape/size. So the other day I spent a bit of time creating some punch guides for myself. I used a strip of cardstock in a bright colour I don't use often and I punched all the sizes of square on one, all the sizes of circle on another, all of the ovals on another, all the SU flower ones on another. Now I can use these guides over an image in a catalogue or over a set to see if that phrase will fit in the word window or if that flower will fit in my 5-petal flower punch. So cool.
Great idea Nancy! I'm sure it will be extremly helpful and cut down on lots of frustration.
ReplyDeleteThat is very clever Nancy, I might just have to copy your idea :o)
ReplyDeleteVery clever idea. I can see how it will come in handy. Now, as I start to build my own punch collection, I'll have to remember to do this myself!
ReplyDeletegreat idea Nancy.
ReplyDeletelove your back to school countdown lol
Yes, indeed, you are clever! I had the same idea, sort of... Every time I got ready to use a punch, I would punch a piece of copy paper and try it out. Then I threw it away each time, duh.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make guides like yours. Thanks for taking me to the next level, lol.

Great idea! This would come in super handy! And I find that I am using my punches a ton more now too.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for the babysitting comments on my blog... we are pretty lucky here in Canada - someone in the US commented that she pays her daycare person $15/hr for one kid.... wow!!
Excellent idea!
