*It Made My Day!!!*

Remember back in May I posted a photo of the baby blanket I crocheted for our dentist? Well, I have a few stories to tell.

I dropped that blanket off before she had her baby along with our favourite book to read to the kids before bed ("The Going To Bed Book" by Sandra Boynton). We read this book every night to the kids for years! I still have it memorized!!! I had only planned on dropping the gift off at the front desk for Dr. Shawna as she is always just so busy, but she happened to be at the front desk when I got there. She opened the gift in front of my and just totally gushed about the blanket. I, of course, was modest but was glad she liked the blanket.

A few weeks later, the kids and I were at the mall after school and we ran into Dr. Shawna and her husband. She introduced us to her husband and then we chatted for a bit. She told him that I was the one who had made that beautiful blanket for the baby. She said it was the nicest gift they had received. I was tickled.

Fast forward to today... the baby (I can't remember his name!!!!) is now 2.5 months old. Dr. Shawna isn't yet back to work, but that didn't stop our family from heading in for our six month check-ups. Sitting on one of the tables in the waiting room were some photos of the baby.... and in one of those photos you can see that the baby had been wrapped .... IN THE BLANKET I MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure put a smile on my face!!1
