Finally Wednesday... I tell ya... this week is just dragging by. I don't know why... just feels like it's going by so slow. Every morning I've woken up and thought that it was a day later than it truly is!
I really love the relative simplicity of this card. I also love it when I see diagonal stripes in patterned paper. This paper is not diagonal, but I simply cut off some corners to create a diagonal piece.
This card sat on my stamp table for a few days looking for that little something that would make it all work. First came the doodles on the scallops. Then came the doodles around the blue flowers. And finally, the black dots around the blue flowers. The elements, at that point, finally "popped" just enough.
Items Used: (all Stampin' Up! unless noted)
*Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Rose Rose
*Images: Sweet Shapes
*Ink: Basic Black; black Micron pen; white gel pen
*Tools: 5-Petal Flower Punch, Snow Blossom Punch; Marvy Mega and Giga Scalloped Oval Punches
*Embellishments: bling!
Love the card, your doodles and dots are great, never would have thought to do that around the flowers but it really does pop them.
