According to the calendar, it's officially summer. The kids aren't on summer vacation until later this coming week. At least the weather is cooperating and giving us summer-like weather on this first weekend of summer. It's positively beautiful outside... sunny, blue skies, going up to 27*C (81*F).
Unfortunately, work is continuing in the back yard. They are working on finishing the deck this morning and they aren't able to stay for a full days work. They still have to finish the fence and do all the planting. The bushes were just being ordered yesterday so it will be a bit before they are in the ground.
I had really hoped they'd finish yesterday so we could be out there enjoying our yard. I'm not upset, just really want to start enjoying the yard!
I promise that there will be some before and after photos soon... or at least some before and almost done photos LOL! Maybe even this weekend if I can figure out where Bruce downloaded the before pictures to.
I created this card for Kelly's birthday last month. I didn't want to post it until I knew she had it, but I haven't heard that it's arrived... so I'm hoping it didn't get lost in the mail. She hasn't updated her blog in a few weeks so I'm guessing life has just gotten a little too busy.
I used Blue Bayou, Purely Pomegranate and Whisper White along with a Bella, some Stickles and a black ribbon. The squares were cut with my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities.
This is one of my favourite Bella images.... my other favourite is JammieBella.
I'm off to figure out what to do with my afternoon... have a great day!
