I've seen a lot of cards that I've loved with what look like ink splotches on them. In some cases I think they are working on a glossy or coated cardstock and are dropping alcohol inks on the cardstock and blowing it with a straw or a heat tool. I decided I liked the look of these stamps by My Favorite Things and bought them with my last order. I stamped them in some of the Spa Collection colours from Catherine Pooler. I have had the inks since they were released but this was my first time using them. I started with just the purple, orange and green and realized it looked very "halloween" so I added some yellow and pink as well.
I added a strip with the stamped and embossed sentiment and die cut the word SMILE, all from My Favorite Things.
I cut down the front panel and used my Perfect Layers Tool to create a dark purple 1/16th" border before layering it all on to a white card base.
I love this. Always wanted to try the ink splotch look x
