*Scrap 'n Stamp Perfect Pearls Blog Hop*

Welcome to the Perfect Pearls Blog Hop with the team at Scrap 'n Stamp Canada!!!  For this hop, we are playing with Perfect Pearls!  There are SO many things you can do with Perfect Pearls so I tried to find something I hadn't done before.  Sadly, my picture taking skills suck so you can't see the wonderful shimmer along the side of this card.

We'd love to see the cards you create with Perfect Pearls... head on over to our FB Group to share them with us.

Also be sure to hop along with us over the next two weeks ... leave comments on each of the blogs for your chance to win a $50 gift card from Scrap'n Stamp.  We will announce the winner near the middle of the month!

AND, this weekend only (until Midnight Sunday), all Perfect Pearls products are 10% off at the Scrap 'n Stamp store!

Now, on to my card... as I said, you can't see the awesome shimmer that Perfect Pearls creates in my photo... sorry about that!
For this card, I started with the smaller white panel and used purple tape to not only adhere a Tim Holtz stencil to my cardstock, but to also protect the right side of the panel from ink and Perfect Pearls.  I then used the Life Changing Blending Brushes to add Versamark ink over the stencil.  While it was still sticky, I used a big fluffy brush that came with my Perfect Pearls in blue and gold, to put the powder on different areas of the stencil and rubbed it around.  I removed the stencil, added the dark blue layer using the We R Memory Keepers Layers Guide and put it all on a white card.  I then used my Gemini Jr to cut out this wonderful die from Picket Fence and added it to the front of the card.  I love being able to use stencils and powders and things from different companies to create my signature clean and simple style.

And since I didn't love how this card turned out, I decided you'd get a two for one today!
For this card, I used Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink on a white card panel, creating an ombre effect by using more layers of ink on one corner and feathering it out to a lighter shade in the opposite corner.  Distress Inks stay wet a little longer than most dye inks (and less long than pigment ink) which is why they are so awesome for blending... and also the reason I could use Confetti White Perfect Pearls over top of it.  I rubbed off the excess before putting the white panel through my Big Shot with an embossing folder.  What you can't see in the photo is how using the embossing folder makes the Perfect Pearls jump out at you at different angles.  I adhered the embossed panel to a white card and added the Picket Fence Studios Hello Word Die in black to the front of the card.

I can't wait to see what you create!

For now, be sure to hop along with the rest of the team (and remember to leave comments so your name will be entered in the draw to win a gift card from Scrap 'n Stamp!

  8. I think your stenciled card came out really pretty and won't be impossible for me to try to duplicate, so thank you for that idea. I loved the second card too...mainly because I love those blues you used.

  9. I like how your stenciled card turned out -- my favorite because of the graphic stripe on all that white. Have lots of Perfect Pearls but have never used with a stencil, so thanks for the inspiration.
