Happy Thursday creative friends! It's time for a fun new challenge at Time Out Challenges!
A patient at work was talking about his birthday gift to his wife last week... for her 75th birthday she wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride. He was telling me how amazing it was. That was in my head when I got around to making this card... hot air balloons are a form of travel!
Card Info*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Basicd Grey
*Paper: Stampin' Up Lighter Than Air
*Stamps: MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes
*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies: Stampin' Up! Hot Air Balloons
*Etc: foam adhesive
What a pretty hot air balloon card idea! I am petrified of going up in one but yours are so nice that I might consider it! My trip would consist of me shaking on the way up and then increasing ease as we descended. LOL.
ReplyDeleteAnd a very stylish way to travel too - love this Nancy! Great use of patterned paper in this design and such pretty hot air balloons! Hugs, Kate!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card Nancy! I love it! Those beautiful ballloons look so peaceful floating above the pretty strip of colour!! I love looking at the balloons but I couldn't do it myself! I remember watching them floating above the Brisbane River from my hospital window when my daughter was born. They can't do that anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love this card, Nancy. The papers you used are so summery, and I love the way the patterns in the balloons go with the stripes in the background panel set on the diagonal. Great take on our theme!
ReplyDeleteA hot air balloon ride was on my bucket list so my kids sent me for my 50th birthday - ages ago - and it was fabulous. My balloon was brighter colored but I love your pastel ones, Nancy.
