*Time Out Challenges #318*

I took a little break from the Christmas cards to make my design team card for the new challenge at Time Out Challenges...

As soon as I saw this challenge prompt, I knew I wanted to play with some gorgeous paper in my stash and some fabulous new leaf dies I just got.  I cut a panel of the paper and then cut it in to three equal pieces.  I put the middle piece on the card using foam adhesive and then put the other two directly on the card front with regular adhesive.  I added some die cut leaves and a simple pop of colour with the sentiment.

Card Info
*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Berry Burst, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive
*Paper;  Stampin' Up! Moonlit Florals
*Stamps:  Gina K Wreath Builder
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Time Out Challenges #317*

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges... this time sponsored by one of our design team members!  How generous!

I am really wanting to colour more... to allow myself the time to play with the markers.  I was watching a Cathy Zielske video the other day and she made me realize that I don't need to be an artist to colour...  I'm a crafter and my colouring doesn't need to be perfect.  So instead of worrying about shading and blending really well, I've decided to just have fun!

To that end, I pulled out this cute stamp of a girl with her umbrella and had some fun!  I stamped her with Memento ink (ink my Misti), coloured her and then stamped over her again with my favourite Versafine Clair as I find it gives a much more crisp outline.  I paired her with a little rainbow striped pattern paper.

Card Info
*Paper:  Unity Yay It's Today
*Stamps:  MFT Rain Or Shine
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics

*Time Out Challenges #316*

There's a photo inspiration challenge at Time Out Challenges this week... First, let's look at the inspiration photo

I was inspired by the blue and white stripes of the pillow on the blue chair.  I took strips of white and navy cardstock and adhered them to a piece of printer paper.  I then cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and added it to a larger piece of navy cardstock.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Night of Navy
*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Washi:  Pinkfresh Studio Fluttering Butterflies

*Time Out Challenges #310*

There's a fun new challenge at Time Out Challenges that starts today...

Honestly, I was going to skip this challenge.  I don't have much for food or drink stamps and dies... I was looking for something else in my stash and came across this stamp set with this line of fun frozen treats.  I was NOT in the mood to colour them, so I paired the stamp with a scrap of pattern paper that reminded me of a beach towel... so quick and easy!

*Time Out Challenges #309*

We have such a fun challenge for you at Time Out Challenges!  I can't wait to see how you interpret our idea of using a clear element on your project!

I went with a fully clear panel for my card front!  To do this, I cut a piece of acetate that was the same size as my card front but with an extra 1/2" on the folded side.  I scored the piece of acetate and put a piece of white cardstock inside the flap to create a card back.

The key to a card like this is to make it so that your adhesive doesn't show through.  I adhered my paper strips only in the centre 3/4" or so and then added the 1" gold strip to the inside of the card, putting adhesive only behind the paper strips.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  unknown brushed gold; acetate
*Paper:  Stampin' Up (don't know the name of it)
*Stamps:  Gina K Wreath Builder
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  MFT Stitched Circles

*Time Out Challenges #308*

Time Out Challenges is celebrating it's 12th birthday with a CASE Challenge that starts today and runs until the 18th of March.  We encourage you to CASE this gorgeous card created by Stef and enter it in our linky party for your chance to win a wonderful price from Waffle Flower!

I had a lot of fun with this one...  I chose some elements to use on my card and a few to switch up and a few to delete.  I started with those gorgeous flowers and chose two *very* old flowers from my stash.  Stef had two flowers in her design so I used two as well.  I created texture in my background by first cutting the Waffle Flower Postage Collage die and then embossing it with a brick pattern.  I added some black spatter instead of the gold highlights that Stef used.

Card Info
*Stamps:  Waffle Flower Sweet Lattice Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies: Waffle Flower Sweet Lattice Sentiments, Postage Collage
*Embossing:  Stampin' Up! Brick & Mortar
*Embellishments:  unknown flowers from my stash (maybe Bazill?)

*Time Out Challenges #304*

Welcome to a brand new year of challenges with Time Out Challenges!  We are welcoming Jaydee to our team with our first challenge of 2026!  She's a fabulous card maker that I've been following for a while.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Gina K Designs!

What a fun prompt for a new year!  I just wish my card would have photographed better!  I decided to dig in to my stash of items that I inherited when my Mom passed away.  She LOVED the Glitter Ritz glitters and I took all of it home with me!  I don't pull it out very often because it's so messy, but it sure is pretty!

I took a piece of pattern paper (also really old from my stash) and covered the panel in double sided adhesive before sprinkling a clear glitter all over the top.  I burned it down to make sure it really stuck on there.  Believe me when I say, this panel really sparkles!!

Today we start the last challenge of 2025 at Time Out Challenges.  We will be back in the new year to hopefully inspired your creativity!

We have an awesome photo challenge for this last challenge... be sure to tell us in your post how you were inspired by the photo below.

I find photo inspiration challenges difficult... but here's my tip for how I approached this one.  I looked at the photo as individual elements...  colours, locations, shapes... so I was inspired by the red and gold I saw in the photo as well as these friends together making memories.

*Time Out Challenges #301*

For the new challenge at Time Out Challenges, we want to see your cards for your favourite holiday to celebrate.  You can choose any holiday you want... just be sure to let us know the holiday in case it's kind of obscure.

My favourite holiday to make cards for is Christmas... I love my stash of Christmas supplies and am always happy to add to it.  This year, I purchased this fabulous Stampin' Up! paper and I've been using it A LOT.  I bought two more packages of it so I wouldn't run out.  I just love the patterns in this package!  For my card today, It's all patterned except for my stamped and die cut sentiment.

This card came together using some scraps from other projects I've been working on... they fit the mini slimline size just perfectly!
