Happy Thursday, creative friends! This week on the This or That Instagram Hop, we had the choices of glitter or foil. I really do love both (especially glitter paper) but I had this brand new hot foil plate in my possession that needed to be played with! I am IN LOVE with how it turned out!
I'm here today to share my creation for the CASE It Instagram Hop... each month several of my online friends and I choose a card that inspires us on Instagram and we use it to create something of our own. Sometimes we copy the card outright, sometimes we each use elements to inspire something of our own.
This month I was inspired by my friend VonMarie... this is her card.
I loved the distressed strips of colour and the big beautiful mostly white flower. I changed it up a little bit by using some different shades of colour in a smaller aspect and instead of a flower, I used a big butterfly.
Each month, I play along with a hop on Instagram where we share cards intending to spread a little sunshine in the world. For my card today, I played with this fabulous This Calls For Confetti hot foil plate and stencil... It's SO gorgeous!
It's time for a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenges...
I fell in love with this sketch as soon as I saw it... I'm not sure if it was intended to be a full sized or a mini slimline, but I love the mini slimline so that's what I went with! I just happened to have some extra cut up pieces from the Waffle Flower Postage set so I decided to use them...
I'm here with my card for the Just One Layer Instagram Hop... we are challenged each month to make a card that is just one layer following a common theme. This month, our theme is stencil.
I grabbed this fabulous ink splatter stencil and created a rainbow through a portion of the stencil directly on the front of my card. I then stamped my sentiment right on top.

Good morning friends... it's time for the Rainbow Connection Instagram Hop! Each month we play with rainbow colours and try to make our cards somewhat clean and simple.
I chose to make a card suitable for someone losing a pet. I cut the outline of the paw print and then used some Tim Holtz inks to ink blend my rainbow. I then cut the inside pieces out. I adhered the outline to the front of my card panel and then added the inner pieces with foam adhesive.
This month for the Embossing Folder Instagram Hop we are playing with the theme of Summer Bliss. I went with the lush greenery of summer... everything in bloom, the grass is green... so many shades of green in your view! We've got a lot of green here in Calgary right now because we had a very wet spring... but flowers are behind because it's been cool and cloudy too!
It's time for another Pick 2 Challenge at Time Out Challenges... here is the graphic with your choices.
I chose the words water, summer and sun and created a ink blended panel trying to depict an ocean sunset... I hope I did OK! I put the ink blended panel behind the die cut oval to add a little interest.

I was inspired by a card I saw by Cathy Zielske a few weeks ago. I cut my panel and then cut my banner out of that panel. I fit the two pieces back together and put them through my Big Shot with a 3-D embossing folder. I did some ink blending on the tag shaped piece and tried to get a gradient of colour on it. I put the embossed panel on the card front and then added the tag shape with foam adhesive. I finished it off with a simple stamped and die cut sentiment that I popped up on foam adhesive.
This week on the This or That Instagram Hop, we had to choose between INSIDE and OUTSIDE. I chose to play with an idea by Sandi MacIver. I cut a panel for my card front and then cut out the centre of the panel as well. I then put them back together and put them in to an embossing folder. I took the pieces out and did some ink blending on the inside part of the panel. I matted the inside panel and added it back to the card front.
It's time for a new colourboard challenge at AAA Colourful... I can't wait to see what you create using this colourboard as inspiration!
I was thinking about skipping this month as I am feeling behind on my design team duties... but when I saw the colours, I had to play along! They are my favourites! But then I had to decide what I wanted to do. I decided to pull out a layering stencil and have some fun.
Good morning friends... it's time for a new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS...
I don't have much for postage related items in my crafty stash, but I did recently purchase some Waffle Flower postage themed items. I played with some soft colours with the stencil and used one of the "stamp" die cuts to create my card. To add a little extra interest, I used an embossing folder on a white strip. I used a lot of newer stuff (to me) on this card... always good to use the new stuff you buy instead of ignoring it!
Every month, a group of us play together on Instagram, sharing relatively clean and simple cards using the colours of the rainbow.
For today, I used three colours of Distress Ink through a stencil to create my rainbow.

I had a few ideas in my head for this one... but when this one popped in to my mind, I knew I had to go for it!
A fun challenge this week for the My Favorite Instagram Hop... we were challenged to CAS another designer that participates in the hop. We could choose any one of the other players and any of their cards.
I chose this gorgeous card from Kelley. I was drawn to the butterflies and the pretty stencilled background...
And here is my card, inspired by the one that Kelley made... I used a similar colour for my stencilling but used a different stencil and only did a portion of my background. I added some colourful butterflies in almost the same layout as her original card and added a mixed font sentiment like she used. I also added my most favourite 1/16" black mat around my top layer.

I wasn't not feeling too creative when I sat down to make this card... I was tired of making Valentine's themed cards and the code word "pink" just screamed at me to make another one. Instead, I found this extra piece from some cards in the last few weeks and thought "it's pink" so I played with it.
It's time for another Mini Slimline Instagram Hop... no themes for this hop... just sharing a mini slimline card each month. This is one of my favourite card sizes to play with. For my card today, I played with one of the left over pieces from the postage stamp die and stencil I used last week... I think it fit pretty well! I added a little embossing for an extra punch.

Today is the first hop of the new One Layer Instagram Hop... we are making cards that only have the base layer on them. This month, our optional theme is ink blending.
I realized as I was typing up this post that I cheated and added a die cut sentiment to my card. Whoops!
I used some washi tape to mask off parts of the card front to create my blended stripes and then stamped this gorgeous floral over top of it. I could have stamped the sentiment right on the front, but the one I liked the size of would have been lost in the floral.
This is the last week of the "old or new" challenge month for the This or That Instagram Hop. My family gave me a gift card to The Paper and Ink Boutique for Christmas and I went shopping last week. I didn't think I wanted to hop on the postage collage bandwagon until I saw some people cutting collages apart to create something different... I came home from the store and immediately made this card.
