*CASE It Instagram Hop*

 Hello friends... it's time for the monthly CASE It Instagram Hop.  Each month, a group of us each find a card that inspires us on Instagram and we use that card (each our own choice) to create something inspired by the card.  It can be a direct copy or we can take elements and be inspired to create something more unique.

My card today was inspired by my online friend Sandy... please go check out her Instagram profile and share some love on her creations!

I LOVE a raised frame, especially when it's done in white  I changed things up by making my frame a stitched circle and instead of in blended leaves, I did some pretty washi flowers.  I kept the idea of stamping my sentiment inside of the frame.

*One Layer Instagram Hop*

 Hello friends... it's time for the One Layer Instagram Hop... this month, our theme is Shimmer.  I started out with masking off four panels on my card front and doing some ink blending.  I splattered some Wink of Stella on the panel and when it was dry, stamped my focal image and sentiment before removing the masking.  I wish my masking tape had been a little thinner to create a thinner grid between the rectangles (if that makes sense).

 It's time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges... this time sponsored by one of our design team members!  How generous!

I am really wanting to colour more... to allow myself the time to play with the markers.  I was watching a Cathy Zielske video the other day and she made me realize that I don't need to be an artist to colour...  I'm a crafter and my colouring doesn't need to be perfect.  So instead of worrying about shading and blending really well, I've decided to just have fun!  

To that end, I pulled out this cute stamp of a girl with her umbrella and had some fun!  I stamped her with Memento ink (ink my Misti), coloured her and then stamped over her again with my favourite Versafine Clair as I find it gives a much more crisp outline.  I paired her with a little rainbow striped pattern paper.

And while I love these colours, I struggled with what I wanted to do with them... but I found almost all of the colours in my bin of extras and decided to put them together to make my card!

 Our choices for the This or That Instagram Hop were Rainbow or Black & White.  And to surprise you all, I went with a black and white card!  You KNOW I love rainbows... but I also love black and white cards, especially when they are a little unexpected.

*White on White Instagram Hop*

 Good morning friends...  this month for the White on White Instagram Hop, we are playing with spring holidays.  Our cards will be mostly white on white, however we are allowed one accent colour to use.  So far, the only colour I've ever used has been black to stamp a sentiment.

*CAS Colours & Sketches #579*

 There's a fabulous new sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches, this time designed by Amanda.  

I took my idea from a few days ago and played with it again, this time using some layering stamps.  Instead of using all three layers of this stamp, I only used two.  I love the hint of colour on the petals.  By using my Misti and rotating my cardstock, I only had to place each stamp once.

*Sending Sunshine Instagram Hop*

 Each month, a group of us gather on Instagram to share some sunshine with our cards...  we try to create cards with an uplifting message to hopefully help someone who might need to see it that day.

I had every intention of making this a colourful card.  I started by using my Misti to stamp one flower in the one corner of my panel, turned the panel 180 degrees and stamped it again.  I cleaned everything up and went to start colouring when I realized I hadn't used Copic friendly ink...so I went with it and created a black and white card instead!

*Happy Birthday Kati!*

Today we are celebrating Kati's birthday with an Instagram Hop to help make it a little more special.  Since she loves all things colourful, she chose a rainbow theme for her hop!

I started with this gorgeous pattern paper and went with a design I used on a Christmas card a few months ago.  I went shopping at my favourite local stamp store last week to use the gift card I got for Christmas (and a little more than that too!) and I bought those gorgeous leaves and a great new sentiment stamp and die set.

 This is the last week of the "old or new" challenge month  for the This or That Instagram Hop.  My family gave me a gift card to The Paper and Ink Boutique for Christmas and I went shopping last week.  I didn't think I wanted to hop on the postage collage bandwagon until I saw some people cutting collages apart to create something different... I came home from the store and immediately made this card.
