*Just One Layer Instagram Hop*

As a girl who loves her die cuts, a just one layer card is difficult for me.  Others may not agree, but in my line of thinking, a one layer card means there is nothing raised up from your card front... so that leaves stamps and inks and not much else.  So why on earth did I join this Just One Layer Instagram Hop?  LOL!

For this month, our common theme is Masking... so I used some ripped low tack tape to mask off an area where I did some pretty ink blending... and added a huge floral image on top of it.

*Stamps:  Altenew Bouquet of Love; MFT Something for Everything.
*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed

*Just One Layer Instagram Hop*

The theme for this months Just One Layer Instagram Hop is paste...  I only have one paste in my stash but I was able to make it work!

I started by using a layering stencil and inks on my card front.  I left one of the layers until the end and used some Stencil Butter with that layer instead of ink.  Once it was dry, I stamped my sentiment directly on to the card front.

*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne; Catherine Pooler Samba, All That Jazz, Grape Crush, Mardi Gras
*Stencil:  MFT Flower Fusion

*One Layer Instagram Hop*

Today is the first hop of the new One Layer Instagram Hop...  we are making cards that only have the base layer on them.  This month, our optional theme is ink blending.

I realized as I was typing up this post that I cheated and added a die cut sentiment to my card.  Whoops!

I used some washi tape to mask off parts of the card front to create my blended stripes and then stamped this gorgeous floral over top of it.  I could have stamped the sentiment right on the front, but the one I liked the size of would have been lost in the floral.

Card Info
*Stamps:  Altenew Bouquet of Joy; The Ton Easy Expressions
*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne; Time Holtz Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean
