*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

We're playing with anything to do with letters home this week for the Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop... so I chose to play with a postage die and a stencil I haven't opened before.  I used only 3 colours but layered them up to create a rainbow of colours!  In the past when I've used this die, I've cut the pieces apart... this time I decided to use it as a full panel.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Dies:  Stampin' Up! Celebrate You; Waffle Flower Postage Collage
*Stencil:  Waffle Flower Collage Colouring Stencil
*Ink:  Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Mustard See

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

I had to play with the theme of "where you're from" for the Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop today... I didn't feel super inspired to make a red and white card so instead I went with a Calgary Stampede themed birthday card... anyone who knows me is probably surprised as I am not a country girl, I am not interested in Stampede... but it's probably what the city I live in is best known for.

I started with a Spellbinders alphabet and cut out the iconic Stampede "yahoo" and then used a wood grain embossing folder on them.  Super simple!

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Pecan Pie
*Stamps:  Concord & 9th Big Day Birthday
*Dies:  Spellbinders Be Bold Alpha; MFT Stitched Rectangles
*Embossing;  Alten New Deck Planks

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

Good morning friends.... today we are playing cards with "movement" for the Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop.  I was honestly going to skip this week because I didn't feel like I had anything in my stash that would work.  But then I remembered I can interpret the challenges however I want... it didn't have to be a car or a bike or a card using a wobble or something... instead I did a swinging flip fold card.  I found the instructions thanks to Paper Crafting Threads.

I used some beautiful pattern paper for my card front and for the inside panels as well.  This is what the card looks like when it's folded flat.

I really should have done a little video of what it looks like when you open it, but some some still photos will have to do...  You can see from this photo, that when you open the card, the centre panel flips to show inside as well.

And here's another photo of the opened card.

Card Info
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Moonlit Flora
*Stamps:  For The Love Of Stamps Sparkling Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Waffle Flower Nesting Rectangles; Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nesting Dies

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

The current Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop has us playing with "moments that matter".  I was inspired by a Christmas Card I saw a few days ago but I created a birthday card instead.  My card didn't turn out quite as I had hoped... I think my papers are just a little too busy for the design.

*Paper:  MFT Birthday Brights
*Stamps:  The Ton Easy Expressions Birthday

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

Hello friends...  I'm back with my card for the current Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop... our theme for this week is "humour".  I have some funny sentiments but not a lot to go with them.  For my card today I didn't have either a cake stamp or die nor candles.  So I improvised!

I used pattern paper and cut some strips about the size of candles.  I used a black marker to create the wicks and my Copics to create the flames.  And my sentiment didn't have a die so I <gasp> fussy cut it!

*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Pattern Party
*Stamps:  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Birthday Bash Sentiments

The Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop is welcoming spring this week...  it's not quite spring here in Calgary as I know we will get some more snow, but I am looking forward to the colours that start to pop when the weather turns warmer.

I had fun creating a clean and simple card using my favourite butterflies and lots of foam adhesive!

This week for the Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop we are playing with the prompt of "let it shine"...  I chose to use some different foil elements in my card and WOW is it shiny!

I started with a piece I foiled more than a year ago that's been sitting in my bin of extras.  I added a leftover strip of foiled pattern paper and put that layer on to a gold matted layer.

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

For this challenge for the Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop, we are making cards where the sentiment or a word is the focal point of the card.  I chose to do a simple friendship card to send to someone who needs a little lift.

I started with an embossing panel that I matted in black and added to my card front.  I cut the word "friend" out of black cardstock three times and layered it up to give it dimension.  I added a little thin foam adhesive to the bottom of the stamped portion of the sentiment and layered it on top of the die cut word.

*Stamps:  MFT Anything But Basic Friendship
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  MFT Friend

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

This week for the Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop, our theme is "Unexpected Valentine"...a challenge to use unexpected colours for a Valentine's card.  I chose to go with black, white and gold as I find it elegant.  I was really tempted to add just a little pop of red, but decided that was too traditional.

*Paper:  MFT Black & White Stripes
*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything

*Card Clubhouse Instagram Hop*

I joined a new cardmaking Instagram hop... this one is called Card Clubhouse.  We will be hopping every second week, playing with a different common theme.  Our theme for this week is Warm Welcome!  We are using new supplies, tools or techniques to make a card to make someone feel welcomed or at home.

I went a little off the rails with my card... my stamp set is new but I went with a literal "warm" as the stamp I chose to use was warm hats (or toques up here in Canada)
