Challenge #306 at Time Out Challenges is a Pick 2 Challenge... choose any two of the inspiration words from the graphic below to create your card. Thanks to Lawn Fawn for hosting this challenge!
I went a little nuts and chose FOUR words instead of only two! I had some fun with some shades of pink and red sparkle paper as well as a gorgeous sparkly heart!
I'm also entering this card in to the current challenge at Color Hues and the challenge at Paper Players
I had a little time yesterday and my mojo decided to let me play for a little while too... so I made a card following the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, using the colours from Color Hues.

I think this will be my last Christmas Card in July for this year... maybe LOL! At least it's the last one I've finished for now.
I was inspired by a card I saw in the Build Your Stash Christmas in July Linky Party... a card by Jenni at Wish I Was Scrappin'. I hope you'll go leave her some love for her fabulous card! It's a fun way to use some smaller pieces of patterned paper. I cut the papers in to 1/2" strips and glued them down on to a piece of printer paper, leaving a little gap of white between each strip. Once dry, I turned the page and cut 1/2" strips that included all of the strips I'd glued down. I then arranged them on a white panel to create this fun, quilted look.
I was inspired to play a little more with my Christmas supplies this past weekend while avoiding the extreme heat outside. I am so thankful for air conditioning!
I truly do LOVE making Christmas cards, and up until a few years ago I left all of my favourite supplies alone for about 10 months of the year. It has been so much fun making a few each month instead!

*Paper: Stampin' Up! Christmas Blessings

Good morning, creative friends... I found some time on this cool and rainy weekend to play along with the current challenge at Color Hues... I had this small layered stencil on my desk and decided to play with it. Sadly my sage looks a little more green than a true sage in my photo...

*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne; Catherine Pooler Hot Tub, Bay Breeze, Sparking Berry
*Dies: MFT Stitched Rectangles
*Stencils: layering stencil from the 2023 Spellbinders Advent Calendar
I'm playing along with two challenges today... the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the colour combination at Color Hues. I absolutely love this colour combination so I knew I had to play with it... and when I saw the sketch, this technique popped in to my head (but then it took me a while to remember how to do it!)
I've been spending some time in my craft area the last few days as my husband is out of the country for work. I don't often spend any time at my craft desk in the evenings. The last few days I've put some TV on and crafted a little in the evenings. It's been nice. I love him a lot, but I also enjoy some time to myself from time to time.
While babysitting a back up of my laptop, I decided to play along with the colour challenge at Color Hues. I was worried that the colours of red and yellow would look too much like ketchup and mustard... and instead I managed to get a Mickey Mouse theme going on.
I cut the wreath out of white two times and coloured some of the layering elements with my Copics... I put the pieces on top of the white wreath and I didn't like it... so I cut a wreath out of black and used it instead... and I love how the colours pop on the black!

I shared a card a few days ago using the same elements as this card... and decided to play again with the same hot foil plate and colours to create a card for the current challenge at Color Hues.. which happens to be my favourite colour combination!
For my card, I cut apart the foiled (and stencilled) image to create a long skinny spray instead of a large card front. And it became the perfect size for a mini slimline.
To say I love this card is an understatement!
Card Info
*Cardstock: Hammermill Premium Color Copy
*Hot Foil Plate: Pink Fresh Studio Simplest Gestures
*Foil: Spellbinders Silver
*Stencils: Pink Fresh Studio Simples Gestures Layering Stencils
*Ink: Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey, All That Jazz, Fiesta Blue
*Etc: Pink Fresh Studio Foiled Sentiments; foam adhesive
I pulled out my bin of extras to create the card I'm sharing with you today. The oval, the butterfly and the strips of cardstock were all in that bin of extra items I'd cut but not used. I am playing along with the challenge over at Color Hues.
Card Info
*Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Old Olive, Regal Rose
*Images: Studio Katia Birthday Greetings
*Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies: Pink Fresh Studio Small Butterflies, Slimline Strips; Stampin' Up! Layering Ovals
Time Out Challenges is back for another year of fun challenges... for our first challenge of 2023, we challenge you to be "romantic"...
I don't make a lot of Valentine cards... but I was inspired by this challenge as well as the Color Hues challenge... and I am in LOVE with how my card turned out.... it is so subtle and pretty!
The dotted circles are actually 7 different circles but when I saw the package I loved how they all looked together. I took them out of their packaging and laid them out on my work surface with the "fancy side" down and carefully taped them together with some mint tape from Scrapbook.com. I didn't get them lined up perfectly but I think I came pretty darn close!
When you find a colour combination you just love, sometimes you have to go with it. That's me with the colours blue and green... specifically Tim Holtz Twisted Citron and Salty Ocean. Stampin' Up! Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide are right up there for me too!
And of course, I get to play along one more time with the challenge at Color Hues
I don't think I've *ever* entered one challenge more than one time... and this is my third entry! Which one was your favourite?

Is it good or bad that this Pink Fresh Studio stamp is one stamp with several images that you stamp, stencil and cut all at once? It's good because it's easy, it's bad because you get stuck with several cards that look similar.
The good news is that this is a LOVELY set and it's easy to create with it! And I get to play along with Color Hues again!

I've been struggling in the craft room in the last few days... I sit there, wanting to create but nothing comes. Thankfully I have some cards already made to be able to share with you... and it just so happens to fall in to the color challenge at Color Hues!
For the card today, I used the Pink Fresh Studio Rainbow Floral stamp, die and stencils... but instead of using all of the layers of the stencil, I only used two to create the bit of blue on the flowers and the bit of green on the leaves. I really like this look (and use it all the time with the Altenew layering stamp sets I own).

I saw a few cards on some Facebook groups I'm on as well as on Instagram, using the current challenge from Color Hues... and while I don't often reach for yellow, I really felt like I wanted to play along with this challenge. I love black and white with a pop of colour... I usually do red, but yellow sure does look happy!

*Dies: Waffle Flower Additional Circles; MFT Stitched Circles; Simon Says Stamp Big Happy
Usually when I see challenges I want to participate in, I do separate cards for each of them... but when I saw the challenges at Color Hues and Freshly Made Sketches, I figured I'd try my hand at combining them. The decision was helped along with limited time to get them done on my Wednesday morning before heading off to start my work week at noon.
I really love this card.... that iridescent silver snowflake doesn't photograph as silver, of course, but trust me, that's what it is!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter long weekend.... we had some great weather, a little snow, time to try out our new natural gas fire pit... did a little reading, some creating, watched TV. It was a good weekend.
I had some fun with the current Color Hues Challenge this past weekend... playing with the colours pink and green. Their rules allow the use of neutrals in your design as well.
