Another card inspired by Pinterest...
I used all AlteNew stamps as well as Catherine Pooler inks.... very simple.

*Christmas Tree Hats*
I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest and thought of the Christmas tree punch from Stampin' Up... and thought, why not...
I found some patterned paper in my stash (probably from 10 years ago) and cut out the trees, leaving off the stump. I cut squares of white cardstock and then layered them on to coordinating colours of cardstock using my Perfect Layer Tools. I added some of those cute little dimensional flowers and a sentiment from MFT stamped in black Versafine ink.

*Have Your Cake*
I'm so pleased with this card.... another from my head instead of from the internet!
I used my new Memory Box die on a white panel and used my Perfect Layers Tool to create the purpl-ish border. I put the centre of the circle in white on the under layer with pop dots and added some flowers to the centre (with a little bling in the centre). I added the Penny Black sentiment in black VersaFine ink and put it all on to a white card.

*Celebrate!*
Good afternoon crafters! I hope that 2018 is being kind to you so far. I am a few weeks away being done treatment for colon cancer and am counting down the days to when I don't have to take my chemo pills anymore. I don't yet know what my follow-up looks like, but I'm sure it will be better than taking pills every day for 2 weeks (for 8 rounds). I'm looking forward to getting back to work and getting back to my life... although I will miss all the free time I've had to create!
This is a card that came completely from my head, not something I saw online. It's not perfect, but I'm happy to have created from my own inspiration. The long image is by Close to My Heart which I stamped in black Memento ink and coloured with some Copics. One of my Copics "pooped" on the card so I added two little dimensional flowers to make it look like "I meant to do that" and to cover the excess ink. I added the word, stamped with Catherine Pooler ink and used my Perfect Layers Tool to create the 1/16" border before putting it all on to a white card base.

*All About You*
Another card that came from my head instead of from inspiration on Pinterest. I seriously think I was a better card maker before the internet boomed.... I had to rely on my instincts and my own ideas to create. Now I find myself wanting to copy others' ideas but they never turn out looking they way I want them to.
Sad, eh?
I used a MFT stitched rectangle die on the front panel after stamping the chevron dots several times in Catherine Pooler Inks. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and cut it with the MFT stitched rectangle dies. I did both rectangular panels with my Perfect Layers Tools to create the 1/16th" borders (I love my Perfect Layers Tools!) and layered it all on to a white card base.

*Special Thoughts and Wishes*
Calgary is slowly coming out of another short deep freeze... we had one that was more than a week long over Christmas and thankfully this one was only 3 days long. I don't like the cold but I do love where I live, so I guess I have to put up with it.
I love the clean and simple lines of this card.... a Close to My Heart stamp, minimal colouring with Copics, a thin layer of green cardstock and all put on to a white card.

*MFT Balloons*
I bought this My Favorite Things die set a while back and this is the first I've played with it.
I cut two different sized balloons out of MFT patterned paper. I layered the smaller one on top of the big one using pop dots. I added the "strings" in back paper and stamped the Penny Black sentiment in black VersaFine ink. I added a few little sequins to finish it off.

*More AlteNew*
I may have bought like 5 or 6 AlteNew stamp sets just before Christmas. In my defence, I used my Christmas money to buy them.
There are a multi-step set that I stamped using Catherine Pooler inks. I added the leaves and suddenly I hated what I had created. I put it aside for a few minutes, then had a thought. I cut ou the happy from a My Favorite Things set and layered it a few times and added it over the flower. I stamped the birthday and die cut it from the same MFT set and layered it with pop dots. I cut the size of the panel down, used my Perfect Layers Tools to create that awesome 1/16" border in white and put it all on a white card.
I don't *love* this card, but it's much better than what it was when I first finished the stamping...

*New Copics*
Before Christmas a friend posted to Facebook that she was selling a bunch of her crafting stuff. Way back when, when I worked at the scrapbook store, I had almost a full set of Copics thanks to a great staff discount. But after a while I found I was never really using them so I sold off most of them. In the last several months, I've been missing them.... so I bought 122 Copics from my friend who was selling them and made myself a deal that I needed to play with them so I would learn to enjoy them more.
So on the 30th, while playing in the craft basement with my sister, I played a little. I stamped these AlteNew flowers and coloured them up. I then cut them out with my Brother Scan n Cut and layered them on a white card base. I added a "happy" die cut that I layered three times and stamped the birthday underneath it.
I have a ways to go to be "good" at Copics, but I'm going to try!
