*AAACards #206*

Welcome to the start of a new year of challenges with AAA Cards!  Things might look just a little different around the AAACards blog as Jane, who has run the challenge for the last several years, has retired from the position.  The important thing is that we are still a clean and simple challenge blog with challenges running every two weeks.

To celebrate the New Year, new beginnings and new blog colours, AAA Birthday & AAA Cards are having a micro blog hop.

Fancy winning £10 to spend at an online store of your choice, or a second prize of a mystery parcel?  Then play along like this:

1.  Comment on both the AAA Birthday and the AAACards first 2022 challenge posts.

2.  For two extra entries in to the draw, enter a different card at each of the first challenges of 2022.

To accommodate the different timings fo the two challenges, the Micro Hop will begin at 8am UK time on Sunday January 9th and close at 23:55 UK time on Saturday January 22nd.

Our current challenge is to get inspiration from the moodboard I've posted above.  I took the shades of blue and the snowflake to create a missing you card... I love using my Christmas and winter stash.  Snowflakes are one of my favourite things (even though I honestly hate the cold and snow!).

For my card I started with my card front and blended Salty Ocean Distress Ink along the one side.  I did my best to make it good and dark closer to the edge and feathering out the colour as I moved in.  I covered it over with this beautiful snowflake die cut.

Items Used
*Images:  Altenew Sincere Greetings
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Salty Ocean
*Dies:  Gina Marie Snowflake Border
*Embellishments:  Honey Bee Prism Gems
*Etc:  Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes

I really hope you'll play along with us...  you'll find the challenge HERE.  Share your clean and simple creation with us for your chance to be chosen as a guest designer in an upcoming challenge.
