*2024 Spellbinders Advent Hop - Day 13*

Day 12 of the Spellbinders Advent Calendar was a small sheet of sentiment stamps.  I put three different stamps on to an acrylic block and stamped them in lines across a panel of white cardstock and then cut it out with a stitched rectangle die.  I then stamped one of the other sentiments on a strip of white cardstock and cut it out and layered a little black behind it.  To add a little more interest to this all black and white card, I did add an embossed panel to the front of the card.

This would be so easy to mass produce....

*{BYSHC} Sketch #52*

It's a new month which means there is a new holiday sketch over at Build Your Stash Holiday Card Makers.  I love these sketches because the measurements for each layer are provided in the sketch!  It takes away so much of the guess work!

This is a fabulous mini-slimline design for you to play with this month.  I love a mini-slimline!  I decided to play with an embossed image instead of patterned paper because most of my patterned paper that seemed suitable was only 6" long. This lead to a somewhat clean and simple card...

*Christmas Means More*

I was playing around with an embossing folder the other day and tried embossing it on a dark green cardstock.  While it was pretty, I just felt like you couldn't see the definition.  I took a chance with a white pigment ink pad and a blending brush and put a very light layer of white ink on the raised portions of the embossed panel... and it did exactly what I hoped it would do!

*Joyful*

A few weeks ago, I shared a card using a die set that I won in an Instagram giveaway.  To get the pieces I used, I had to cut two of each of the pieces... so today I am sharing the card I made using the pieces I didn't use in that first card.

CAS on Friday #290*

It's a Sentiment Only challenge at CAS on Friday...

While my card is a little less clean and simple than I'd like, I think it still works.  I simply cut out the letters to the word happy in three different colours two times and layered them up to place on top of the same colour of cardstock.  I added a stamped word at the bottom to finish it off.

*Combining Challenges*

I'm combining a few challenges with my card today...  I found a new challenge called Word Power where the focal point of your card should be the sentiment.  I will play along with them again, for sure as I am not 100% convinced that this card fits the bill.  I am also playing along with the colour challenge at Color Throwdown.

To get the different shades of blue, I used the same colour but blended a different amount of ink on the three different stencils that I used.  I ended up with a medium blue as the lrger flowers, the medium flowers in a really light ink and the small flowers in the darkest ink.
