 Every week, Atlantic Hearts publishes a new sketch for you all to play with...  I am on the design team but only post once every two weeks.  This is my week to share the sketch!

This card came together quite quickly for me as it's similar to a go to idea that lives in my head.  I love using a fun strip of something on my cards!  For this card I used a small strip of this gorgeous gold and black pattern paper.

 This week on the This or That Instagram Hop, we are choosing between balloons and kites.  I don't think I have anything kite themed in my stash, so I went with balloons.

I chose to do a super clean and simple card with one fun balloon die and a sweet birthday sentiment.

 This month, the theme for the Clean and Simple Instagram Hop is "celebration"... I chose to do a birthday card.

I started with some fun ink splatter stamps and stamped them in my favourite colour combination.  I stamped the greeting directly on top of the ink splatters and added a little bling to finish it off.

I chose to play with the pink, green, blue and teal that I see in this image to create my card.  But I struggled a bit to put things together.  I hope it came out OK...

 Another card to share with you today for the Spring Into Christmas Linky Party!  I just got this fun die in the mail and wanted to use it!  To create the snow, I used a chunky embossing powder and sprinkled it on to the blue panel.  I then applied heat to it with my heat tool from under the paper (instead of on top).  It just melts in to place.  Just be careful that you don't scorch your cardstock!@

 I had some fun playing with the current sketch at Try a Sketch on Tuesday... I will admit that I really wanted to play with the sketch but wasn't feeling overly creative (has been a theme this week) so I'm not sure that the card is exactly what I wanted it to be.

I started out with stencilling a layer and then added a dark blue frame.  I added some Pinkfresh die cut washi tape elements and a simple sentiment to finish it off.

*Rediscover Your Supplies Instagram Hop*

 I feel so bad!  I forgot to share this card with you last week!  This was my card for the Rediscover Your Supplies Instagram Hop. Each month, we play with items from our stash that we haven't had out in a while.  Our theme for December was Christmas.

For my card, I played with mostly the backsides of the papers from my most favourite paper pack.  These are the ones that get the least amount of use, just because I don't love them as much.  I cut various sizes of strips and placed them on a cardstock panel and then cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  I added a pop of mirror gold and some more pattern paper to create the focal point.

 For this challenge at CAS on Friday, we are looking to see your rainbow themed clean and simple cards.  Since I am fully in to Christmas card mode, I decided to play with a rainbow Christmas card.

I started with a scrap of cardstock and drew lines in rainbow order across it with the chisel end of my Copics.  I adhered some white snowflakes to the front and then chopped down the panel to fit my card.  I added a quick sentiment and declared it done!

 The current challenge at CAS on Friday is to create a clean and simple card featuring feathers.  I am not a big fan of birds, but I think feathers are pretty!  I cut my feather out of a brushed silver cardstock.  To add a little more life to my simple design, I added some scored lines on my front panel.

These colours scream Hallowe'en to me... but I don't love Hallowe'en so I went with something different instead...  I cut the centre portion of the image with a rectangle die and matted it with the darker colour.  I added it back to the centre of my card with some foam adhesive to add a little more interest

*CASE It Instagram Hop*

 Happy Saturday, Creative friends!  It's time for the CASE It Instagram Hop... each month, a group of us chooses any card we've seen on Instagram and we use it as an inspiration piece to make something of our own.  Sometimes we completely copy the idea, sometimes we use it as a jumping off point.

For today, I was inspired by a card I saw by Vicki Dutcher.

I loved the embossing on the blue, the shade of blue, the pop of white...  instead of using leaves, I used snowflakes... and instead of a die cut sentiment, I went with a simple stamped one instead.  I also changed up the shade of blue (although I really love the colour she used!)

For my card today, I decided that a simple silver and white card would be fun to play with.  I but my strips and then put them in to the embossing folder to emboss them.  I found the brushed silver snowflake in my bin of extras.

Through this Just for Giggles Instagram Hop, I have discovered that I have two types of humour... dirty and sarcastic.  I struggle as I have a lot funny and snarky and dirty sentiments, but not much to support them.  So for today, I sent with a super pretty floral card and added a fun sentiment to it.

I'm back with my second and final card following the April sketch at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers. 

Once again I turned to a package of patterned paper and chose some different patterns from the same package as I know that they should go together.  I liked the idea of the candycane stripes on either side and then chose a couple of other fun patterns for the two strips in the middle.  I added some traditional Christmas colours to finish it all off.  And that "Joy" stamp?  It honestly felt like it was meant for the centre of this diecut!

 This month, our theme for the Build Your Stash Instagram Hop is baby cards...  I actually needed a baby card recently so it was good to make a couple for my stash.

For my first card, I used some more pastel rainbow colours to cut some letters... I love how it turned out!
