Let's start with the colours you need to use...

*Addicted to CAS #302*

It's time for a new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS...

I have a few different things I could have played with for this challenge, but none of them were speaking to me the day I wanted to work on this challenge card.  I decided to go for a super simple card with just a little pop of colour.  To create the sun rays, I simply used my Scor Pal to emboss some lines.

I'm not sure I was quite ready to play with shades of pink... but I couldn't not participate this month!

First here's the colourboard...

I chose to do some ink blending in shades of pink for my card... and added a white silhouette on top...

*50th Anniversary*

Last week, a good friend asked me to make a 50th Anniversary card for her.  I happened to be in my craft room when she made the request so I started working on it right away...  I am really in love with white on white cards lately so that's where I started.  Since the 50th Anniversary is the Golden Anniversary, I chose to add some gold to it as well.

*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything

*ATCs in to Cards Take 2*

I'm back today with the second card I made using the ATCs I created for a different challenge.

For this card, I chose some extra black matted layers and added a few vertical scored lines down the centre of the one panel to add a little more visual insterest.

*CAS on Friday #320*

The current challenge at CAS on Friday is to create a clean and simple card featuring feathers.  I am not a big fan of birds, but I think feathers are pretty!  I cut my feather out of a brushed silver cardstock.  To add a little more life to my simple design, I added some scored lines on my front panel.

*Build Your Stash Instagram Hop*

Each month, I participate in an Instagram Hop where we create 1-4 cards using a common theme to help build up our stash of cards to send.  To be honest, I don't need to build up my stash as I've been making way more cards than I send lately... but it's a fun way to create and I'm enjoying it.

This month, our theme is Anniversary.  I really like a classy looking anniversary card and I tend towards black, white and red for these cards.

For my first card, some simple embossed lines, a couple of hearts and a congratulatory sentiment...

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler
*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Atlantic Hearts #619*

I'm here today with my card following the current sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenges.  I was so excited to see a slimline card in our rotation for today!

Of course, I took this card and made it a mini slimline, since I just love that size and space!  I added some embossed diagonal lines with my Scor Buddy and added a stamped sentiment on top of it with some Pinkfresh die cut washi tape to finish it all off...

*Addicted to CAS #275*

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS...

I do a lot of my cards with a centre focus... so it was just a matter of deciding what kind of centre focus I wanted to do.  I went with an almost all white card (darn sentiment)... I've done several of those this month!  I cut a bunch of stems, leaves and blooms and layered them on top of a few embossed lines and then popped up a sentiment over top of that spot where everything met.

Card Info
*Stamps:  Honey Bee Best of Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Spellbinders Floral Spray, Be Bold Blooms; Honey Bee Best of Everything

*Build Your Stash Instagram Hop*

Yup, I've joined in the fun of a new Instagram Hop....  Build Your Stash is a monthly hop where we "build our stash" of everyday cards.  Each month we will create 1-4 cards following a specific theme to help us build up our stash of cards we might end up needing.  The cards can be the same or different designs... and some months I will make more than other months.  (don't confuse this with the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers sketches I do each month!)

This is our first month, and our theme is engagement or wedding.  Honestly, I made my card and thought "done"... but then re-read that we could make 1-4 cards so I went back and made a second LOL!  You know me - I don't often make multiples of the same card unless I have to.

My first card I went with a simple wedding card.  In my head, the black circle is the masculine to the white heart's feminine.  I was going to add some colour, but decided I loved it, just as it was.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Waffle Flower Nesting Circles; Hero Arts Infinity Hearts
*Tools:  Perfect Layers

My second card is once again, very simple and only two colours... but this time I used a pop of red mirror cardstock as my other colour.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  unknown red mirror
*Dies:  MFT Impact Alphabet; Hero Arts Infinity Hearts
*Tools:  Score Pal

*AAA Colourful #11*

Welcome back to another colourboard challenge with AAA Colourful.  We can't wait to see what you create with this fabulous inspiration.

As it is December, I am still in Christmas card making mode... so this colourboard challenged me just a little bit.  I searched my stash and found this tree stamp and die that I hadn't ever inked up so I decided to do a rainbow (ish) of trees.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Pool Party, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Basic Black
*Stamps:  Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Holiday; Simon Says Stamp Warmest Wishes
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*CAS Colours & Sketches #544*

It's time for a new colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, and for the month of September, I am the host.  I wanted to force myself out of my summer palette and chose some rich colours for this challenge...

Of course, when I pulled them out, I wondered what on earth I was thinking 6 months ago when I chose them!  Being host, I couldn't skip this month, so I decided to see what I could come up with... and I might have come upon a new favourite colour combination.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Mossy Meadow, Misty Moonlight, Blackberry Bliss
*Stamps:  Spellbinders Stylish Oval Birthday Wishes
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Another Wedding Card*

How on earth are we at the beginning of September already?  It was June, I blinked and we are in September.  I'm not at all ready for the shorter daylight hours, the chill in the air, the windows being closed.

Anyway, I'm here with another of the wedding cards that I made for my friend, the marriage commissioner.  This one goes against what I said in my last post about what I try to create for wedding cards... I (gasp), added colour.  It's a little bit of colour with a gold foil element, but colour all the same.

Card info
*Stamps:  Moonstone by Hunkydory Crafts Elegant Sentiments Lovely Wishes
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Washi:  Pinkfresh Studio Vines & Roses

*So Grateful*

I am always so grateful that you come to see my cards... I love being able to share my creativity with people who also enjoy being creative.  Thank you so much for visiting me here... and to those who leave comments, thank you for that!

My card today I made following a sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew...  but I missed the deadline so I put it in my bin of cards to share.  I do that sometimes... miss deadlines for posting cards to challenges.

This card is not at all clean and simple, but I felt the need to showcase this gorgeous paper.

*CAS Colours & Sketches #538*

It's time for a new colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.  You need to use only the colours listed and be sure to keep your design clean and simple!

I was happy that my ink blended Roses and Vines die cut images met the colour scheme so well.  I just had to add the dreaded (well, to me it's dreaded) yellow to my design.  I took a small strip of the Daffodil Delight cardstock and added score lines along it to add a little more interest to it before adding to my card panel.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight

*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Catherine Pooler Martini, Lime Rickey, Flirty Fuchsia, Pixie Dust

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop - Flowers*

Here is my card for the current Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop... our theme for May was "flowers"...  and of course I had no problem with that!

To add a little interest, I did some scored lines on the top part of my panel and used the gold strip to cover up where those lines stopped.  I just got some new Pinkfresh stamps, dies, washi and stencils so there will be some new fun stuff in the coming weeks!

Do you want to see the rest of the hop?  Head on over to my Instagram Page HERE and find this card to find the links to the rest of the hop!

*So Very Happy*

Not quite sure how it's already May... of course the weather in Calgary isn't helping that.  We have marked the start of May today with a snowfall warning.  The snow is falling outside my window as I type this.  I am off to work in a few minutes and am curious to see how much we get.  I hope it's less than predicted.

The only good thing about snow at this time of the year is that you know it won't last long.  So far it's sticking on the grass and the roof (and the car in the driveway) but the roads and sidewalks are just went.

Hello spring LOL!

A quick card for you today that I created using some items in my bin of extras.  I like how the embossed diagonal lines add a little interest without cluttering up the space.

*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
