I almost didn't participate in the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop this month because I couldn't think of anything in my stash that would work for the confetti or sprinkles theme. But then I was digging through some new patterned paper and found these fabulous designs in it and whipped up a quick birthday card.

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop*
The theme for June for the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop is rainbow... I got this new rainbow die set last week and decided to play with some non-traditional looking rainbow colours. I am so happy with how it turned out!

For the month of May, the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop theme is flowers... not a hard stretch for me LOL! I played with a Gina K stencil for my card...

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop*
This month, we are playing with Fun Fold cards with the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop. I don't do a lot of fun fold cards and I thought I found a new one to play with... and then, I was scrolling through the photos on my phone and discovered that I made a card using this layout a while back as a Christmas card. Whoops!
I guess that just means I really like the fun fold of this one!

The theme for this month with the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop is "outdoors"... I chose to do a cloud background on a mini slimline card and then added some pretty butterflies to highlight the sentiment...

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop*
The theme for the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop this month is "neutrals"... I chose to go with the classic black and white.
To create my card, I adhered the black and white striped panel directly to the folded card and then added two white panels on top using foam adhesive to create some dimension. The letters are adhered to only the top white panels.
If you do a card like this, don't forget to stamp anything that needs to be stamped, *before* you put your raised panels on your card!

The theme for the January Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop is cake. I have a few cake themed items in my stash, but honestly I don't really like them. The one thing I thought I had that I maybe wanted to use was no where to be found. So I put on my thinking cap and went a little outside the box.
I used a scrap of patterned paper with birthday candles on it and cut out some words with an alphabet die set. And I like it!

*Birthday Bounce Slimline*
It's time for a new Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop... for October, our prompt is "slimline". If you've been around for a while, you know that I love a mini slimline, so of course that's what I went with.

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop - Masculine*
I'm participating in the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop. Each month, we create a birthday card with a common theme. This month, our theme is Masculine.
You've all been here before (well most of you have been) and you must know by now that I don't do a lot of masculine cards. I almost passed on this hop, but then saw an idea on Pinterest and made it my own. The card I saw used black and gold, so that's what I went with.

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop -- Cake*
It's time to be hopping over on Instagram with the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop! Every month, a group of us get together and post a birthday card following a common theme. This month, our theme is cake.
Now, I will admit I almost skipped this month... I don't have any cake stamps. The cupcake stamps and dies I had I sold in the last garage sale. I have a few great cake sentiments but I wasn't sure what to put with them without a cake.
And then I remember the Scrapbooks & Cards Today weekend I signed up for last fall... there was a stencil set from Taylored Expressions in that mix of things. I will be honest that I did not do the class for this product because I honestly hated it. I hated the colours, the cake felt off in proportion. I just couldn't do it. The kit was in my box to sell at the garage sale, but it didn't sell. So I pulled it out and had a better look at it. And I saw that there was, in addition to the cake and the slice of cake, a cupcake stencil, stamps and die!
And while I still don't love this kit, I was able to create something to share with you today using some bright fun colours!

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop -- Kids*
I'm participating in the monthly Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop... each month we each create one birthday card following the monthly theme. This month, our theme is kids.
I will admit that I took an idea I saw on Pinterest and created my card using that idea... I like how it turned out! It's simple and eye catching, which I think would be great for a kid!
I wish I'd had some googlie eyes for on these cuties, but instead I used two different sizes of office supply circle punches to create the eyes. I had some fun with their placement. And yes, I used a Christmas set to create my hats! I cut the trunks of the trees off and then added the star as the pompom!

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop*
It's time for the June Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop... our theme for this months birthday card is "rainbow". Head on over to my Instagram profile to find this card and to hop along to visit everyone else along the way!
We all know that I love a good rainbow! But I will admit, I failed a little here. Others will notice, most will not... but I put one of my butterflies in the wrong spot and didn't realize it until it was too late to make the change. And since I used glue, GooGone or Un-Du wouldn't help out.
So here is my slightly broken rainbow...

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop - Flowers*
Here is my card for the current Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop... our theme for May was "flowers"... and of course I had no problem with that!
To add a little interest, I did some scored lines on the top part of my panel and used the gold strip to cover up where those lines stopped. I just got some new Pinkfresh stamps, dies, washi and stencils so there will be some new fun stuff in the coming weeks!

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop*
I'm participating in the Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop today... each month, a group of card makers gets together to hop with birthday cards based on a theme... this month our theme is "funny"
We've talked about this before... my idea of humour usually involves swearing... so I used a fun stamp set from Sassy Pants to create my card.
I had a vision in my head for this card... but I guess my vision wasn't quite as good once it hit reality.
I promise... we'll get to some cards I like soon!

*Birthday Bounce Instagram Hop*
It's time for the second hop with the Birthday Bounce team... we are doing an Instagram Hop, so head on over to my Instagram page if you'd like to hop along and see what the other creators have done with our theme this month.
I struggled a bit with our theme this month... because I had it in my head that while I needed to do a SHAKER card (our theme) that I wanted to try to make a clean and simple shaker card.
I think I did ok....
I cut the butterfly out of my front panel. My front panel is where the shaker is, so I used foam adhesive to get it all on the front of my card and added my shaker elements behind an acetate panel. I then took the butterly that I had cut out and glued it in to the negative space, but only glued down the centre part. I then curved up the wings a big to add dimension and allow you to see the shaker stuff.
One tip with a shaker card panel like this? Make sure you do your stamping before you add the foam adhesive!

Welcome to the first instance of the Birthday Bounce Instagram Card Hop! I am participating with a few other paper crafters, sharing a birthday card each month using a set theme. If you'd like to see all of the fabulous creations, find my post on my Instagram account...
For our first month, our theme is Balloons... I have this fabulous stencil set from Neat & Tangled that I haven't pulled out for a while... I used a light hand with some Distress Inks to make the balloons look a bit transluscent.
