I decided to play with my favourite colour combation for my birthday card... and to create shades of the same colours I just used a lighter or heavier hand with my ink blending on each of the balloons. To make them look a little more dynamic, I added some white gel pen highlights to the embossed, die cut and ink blended balloons...
