*Addicted to CAS #312*

The challenge at Addicted to CAS this week is UP!  How will you interpret the code word?

I chose to do a rainbow with some clouds... I cut the rainbow pieces out of white cardstock and added some colour to them with my Copics.  I adhered them to a panel and then cut it with a stitched rectangle die so that there is only half of a rainbow.  I added some die cut clouds to cover the edges of the rainbow

*Stamps:  Studio Katia Birthday Greetings
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Copics
*DIes:  Stampin' Up! Sunshine Vibes; MFT Stiched Rectangles, Treetop

*Addicted to CAS #309*

There's a fun new clean and simple challenge that starts today at Addicted to CAS...

I almost didn't play in this challenge but then I remembered this cute little fox that I was sent by Michelle V Park Designs.  Isn't he adorable?  I scrounged through my bin of extras and found the little stitched squares and finished it all off with a simple sentiment.

*Addicted to CAS #308*

It's time for a new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS!

Playing with these challenges makes me realize how narrow my crafty stash is...  I buy what I like, not what I think I might need for challenges.  To that end, I couldn't think of any stamps in my stash that would work for this challenge.  Then I remembered the suite of items from Stampin' Up! with the hot air balloons.  I've made a few cards by cutting out the balloons from the pattern paper but I didn't feel like doing that for this card... instead I just used a piece of the the pattern paper.

Card Info
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Lighter than Air
*Stamps:  Pinkfresh Studio Happy Birthday Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Addicted to CAS #307*

This week totally got away from me thanks to buying a new car and trying to sell an old (20 year old) junker... plus training a new person at work and a banquet last night.  I am SO late posting my design team card for Addicted to CAS!!!

But I am here now... and I hope that it was worth the wait!

I always think I make a lot of birthday cards... but when I look at my bin of created cards, there aren't that many there.  Maybe it's because it's the type of card I send most often?

I was inspired by my friend Jane for the card I'm sharing today....  I used this left over piece of patterned paper to create a super clean and simple card for a good friend...

Card Info
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Modern Christmas
*Stamps:  The Ton Easy Expressions Birthay
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Addicted to CAS #306*

Good morning friends... it's time for a new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS...

I don't have much for postage related items in my crafty stash, but I did recently purchase some Waffle Flower postage themed items.  I played with some soft colours with the stencil and used one of the "stamp" die cuts to create my card.  To add a little extra interest, I used an embossing folder on a white strip.  I used a lot of newer stuff (to me) on this card... always good to use the new stuff you buy instead of ignoring it!

Card Info
*Stamps:  Concord & 9th Big Day Birthday
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocent
*Stencils:  Waffle Flower Collage Peony Stencil
*Dies:  Waffle Flower Postage Collage
*Embossing:  Altenew Ribbon Waves

*Addicted to CAS #305*

We have a wonderful new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS...

I don't have a lot of family themed stamps or dies...  but I was able to make a card for someone's Mom (since mine has passed).  I started with a stencil and three colours of Distress Oxide Ink and did a little partial blending.  I stamped this gorgeous butterfly on top of it and finished it off with the simple sentiment.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  Paper Rose Studio Cleo Floral Butterfly; MFT All About Mom
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry

*Addicted to CAS #304*

We have a great new challenge for you to play with at Addicted to CAS... and it's one of my favourite things!

I just love playing with stripes... so much so, I had trouble deciding which stripes I wanted to play with!  I ended up choosing this fun watercolour-like pattern paper that was actually a diagonal stripe so I cut it down with a die to make the stripes horizontal.  I even managed to use an extra piece I had cut to make a card last week!

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Cloud Cover
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Bright & Beautiful
*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything

*Addicted to CAS #302*

It's time for a new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS...

I have a few different things I could have played with for this challenge, but none of them were speaking to me the day I wanted to work on this challenge card.  I decided to go for a super simple card with just a little pop of colour.  To create the sun rays, I simply used my Scor Pal to emboss some lines.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Summer Sun
*Stamps:  Honeybee Stamps Best of Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  MFT Stitched Circles

*Addicted to CAS #301*

Good morning, clean and simple friends!  It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS!

I wasn't not feeling too creative when I sat down to make this card...  I was tired of making Valentine's themed cards and the code word "pink" just screamed at me to make another one.  Instead, I found this extra piece from some cards in the last few weeks and thought "it's pink" so I played with it.

Card Info
*Paper:  MFT Black & White Stripes
*Stamps:  The Ton Easy Expressions
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn

*Addicted to CAS Challenge #299*

It's time for the first challenge of 2026 with the team at Addicted to CAS...

I struggled with this theme!  I was crafting with my friends Heidi and Bonnie and they will confirm that I almost decided to skip this challenge.  I didn't want to go with a drinking glass because I find them difficult to work with and get looking the way I want them to.  And then I had my AH-HA moment!  I have Pair Eyewear, those glasses with the removeable toppers.  For a while, I thought I was going to make my own toppers (and I did make a few) so I purchased a cut file to be used with my Silhouette.  I pulled out the Silhouette, resized the cut file and cut myself a pair of glasses!!!  I added some Glossy Accents to the frames and some funky flowers and a sentiment that really worked!

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  MFT Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 2
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Embellishments:  HAI Supply flowers and black pearls; Glossy Accents

*Addicted to CAS #298*

It's time for the last challenge of 2025 at Addicted to CAS...

I am going to be so sad to leave my Christmas card making supplies in their containers instead of playing with this for every card I make...  I will still be making some Christmas cards throughout the year, but I really enjoy the time that I spend focussing only on Christmas cards.

*Addicted to CAS #297*

This week, I am hosting the challenge at Addicted to CAS....  this is the prompt that I chose...

Of course, metallics, to me, are perfect at Christmas, but I know that some of my design team friends went a completely different way!  I can't wait to see what you create!

I decided on a metallic snowflake... backed with a little black to make it pop!

*Addicted to CAS #295*

The latest challenge at Addicted to CAS is right up my alley! We are creating snowflake cards!

Once again, I was drawn to the idea of a mostly white on white card.  I added a stitched frame die to my front panel but did it as an inlay so it almost looks embossed instead.  I layered the glittery snowflake on three layers of white to create some extra dimension.

Card Info
*Paper;  unknown sparkle
*Stamps:  Paper Trey Ink Signature Christmas
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Prism Studio Sew Many Rectangles; unknown snowflake

*Addicted to CAS #293*

Good morning, friends... I'm slowly transitioning in to making more and more Christmas cards... and today is one of those days!  I LOVE making Christmas cards.  Today I'm sharing a card for the current challenge at Addicted to CAS.

The only sweater stuff I have in my stash are these great ugly Christmas Sweaters.  I bought a few sheets of this great pattern paper a few years ago and used my Brother Scan 'n Cut to cut them all out.  I'm getting low on them now LOL!

*Addicted to CAS #292*

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS... this time we are playing with the code word LEAVES

I had some of these stamped and die cut leaves in my bin of extras and I chose to play with them today...  I was going to put them directly on to my card front but it felt like it needed more... so I added these stitched rectangles under them to add a little oomph!

Card Info
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Full of Life
*Stamps:  Hero Arts Fall Pattern; Trinity Stamps Autumn Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Addicted to CAS #291*

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS... and to be honest, I almost missed it!  I have everything written on a calendar on my desk and I managed to miss writing this challenge on it!  I was able to quickly throw together my card before heading off to start my work week on Wednesday

My card isn't as clean and simple as I'd like... and my photo does't show my design as well as I had hoped.  I took a piece of patterned paper and cut out some hexagons that I then matted with gold and put back in to their places with foam adhesive.

*Cardstock:  Spellbinders gold foil
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Flower & Field
*Stamps:  The Ton Easy Expressions
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
