*{BYSHC} Sketch #62 Take 2*

Hello friends... I'm back today with another card following the fabulous October sketch at Build Your Stash Holiday Card Makers...

While I was making my first card (that I shared earlier this month), I had this idea for my second card.  Because I'm menopausal and have post-chemo brain, I took a second to write down my idea so I wouldn't forget.  I'm so glad I remembered what I wanted to do because I LOVE this card!

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black; gold foil
*Dies:  Hero Arts Joy Stamp 'n Cut
*Embossing:  Gina K Holiday Flora

*CAS on Friday Challenge #321*

The challenge prompt at CAS on Friday is "birthday"...  My card isn't as clean and simple as I would have liked since this is a clean and simple challenge, but I do love how it turned out!  I am really enjoying these mostly white on white cards lately!  I purchased this die while I was in Ontario visiting my sister.  Stamp Art in London Ontario is in the process of closing so I was happy to have been able to have one more shopping spree in their store. I got this die there.

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  MFT Something for Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*This or That Instagram Hop*

This week on the This or That Instagram Hop, we had to choose between Man or Beast.  I was in a colouring mood so I pulled out this cute stamp set and did a little colouring.  I don't have the dies for this set so instead of cutting out the elf around it's shape, I used a stitched circle die instead.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Granny Apple Green
*Stamps:  MFT Santa's Elves; The Ton Easy Expressions Holiday
*Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair Nocture; Copics
*Dies: MFT Stitched Circles, Stitched Rectangles; The Ton Easy Expressions Holiday

*Rainbow Connection Instagram Hop*

Each month, a group of us gather on Instagram to share cards we've made using the rainbow colours as inspiration.  We try (and sometimes fail) to make these cards clean and simple, but no matter what, the colours of the rainbow make these cards gorgeous!

For my card today, I did some ink blending with some Distress Oxide Inks on a small panel that I then cut my word out of.  I put the card together and it felt like it was missing something so I cut a small strip of the leftover ink blended panel to add.  It made all the difference!

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  MFT Essential Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Distress Oxide in Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed
*Dies:  Simon Says Stamp Big Happy

*Atlantic Hearts Sketch #653*

I had an idea pop in to my head when I saw the current sketch at Atlantic Hearts... but I'm not honestly sure how I feel about it.  First, here's the sketch

And this is  my interpretation of it.  It's one of those cards that I thought "oh ya" as soon as I was done making it... but the more I look at it, the more I don't like it!

*ATCs in to Cards Take 3*

And finally... the last of the three cards I made using the ATCs I created for a different challenge a few weeks ago.  this card I ran with the black and white theme and used a larger black mat to set everything off.

*ATCs in to Cards Take 2*

I'm back today with the second card I made using the ATCs I created for a different challenge.

For this card, I chose some extra black matted layers and added a few vertical scored lines down the centre of the one panel to add a little more visual insterest.

*ATCs in to Cards Take 1*

A few weeks ago, the challenge at CAS on Friday was "anything but a card".  I chose to make some Artist Trading Cards even though I knew I'd never use them as that.  You can see those three ATCs HERE.

Many many moons ago, we called this size of a creation "card candy"... something you could use to make a card.  So that's what I did!  Today I am sharing the first of the three cards I made using those ATCs as my starting point.

For this card, I used a stitched rectangle die to add a little more visual "business" to the card rather than simply laying the smaller piece to my card base.

*BYSHCardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party*

This time of the year, it's very easy for me to create a lot of entries for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmaking Linky Party...  because  I LOVE making Christmas cards!

This is my final card for the linky party (but far from my last Christmas card!)... I love this pattern paper with the dark green and the  gold highlights... and I love how it looked with some kraft cardstock on it/

*This or That Instagram Hop*

Another Christmas card for you this morning... this time for the This or That Instagram Hop.  This week, we were choosing between scarf or sweater. I was creating at my sisters house when I  made this card, which meant I didn't have my entire stash with me.  I decided to play with this cute snowman and his scarf.

*Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Warmest Wishes
*Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair Nocturne; Copics

*BYSHCardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party*

Another Christmas card for you today...  I used a couple of thin strips of patterned paper to create this cute card. The hardest part about this card was keeping the woven part of the papers together while trying to adhere it to my panel.

*Time Out Challenges #300*

This week, Time Out Challenges is hosting it's 300th challenge!  What an amazing milestone!  Our prompt for this challenge is Autumn Celebrations Around the World. I chose to make a simple thank you card for this challenge as here in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in the fall (in fact it was two weeks ago)

I chose to go super clean and simple, using a large leaf die cut from some fabulous Pinkfresh Studio washi tape.I chose to highlight the gold highlights in the leaves by doing my sentiment in gold as well.

*Patterned Paper Instagram Hop*

On the 20th of each month, I play along the Patterned Paper Instagram Hop.  We are a group of creative people who play with our ever growing stash of patterned paper, in hopes of using up some our stash.  I am not playing along with the optional theme of Hallowe'en because I am totally over Hallowe'en at this point... so I used all patterned paper to create a Christmas card.

Card Info
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Tidings of Christmas
*Stamps:  MFT Christmas Wishes
*Ink:  Versafine Clair  Nocturne
*Dies:  MFT Stitched Rectangles, Christmas Wishes; unknown stitched tree

*Crushing Christmas Instagram Hop*

It's time for another Crushing Christmas Instagram Hop.  I had to quickly make a new card for the hop because  misread the challenge prompt as "frosty" when it was actually "frosty flowers"  Whoops!  I looked to see if I could add a flower to the card I had made (the snowman I posted earlier today) and it was a no go.

I had a few ideas for frosty flowers, but settled on using a die I'd never pulled out before to cut some vellum pointsettias.

Card Info
*Paper:  vellum
*Stamps: Penguin Palace Magical Christmas Sentiments
*Dies:  Waffle Flower Nesting Circles, Additional Circles; Dee's Destinctively Mini Poinsettis; Penguin Palace Magical Christmas Sentiments
*Embellishments:  HAI Supply gold pearls

*BYSHCardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party*

I am SO loving being in almost totally Christmas card mode these days.  Christmas is truly my favourite reason to make cards and I love my Christmas stash oh so much!  I made this card for the Crushing Christmas Instagram Hop, but then realized that the prompt was "frosty florals" not just "frosty".  So there's an extra card for me to share.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Blue Shimmer
*Stamps:  Simon Says Stamp WarmestWishes; MFT Christmas Wishes
*Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair Nocturne; Copics

*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop*

Today is the 3rd Saturday of the month which means I am here with my cards for the Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop.  Each month, we create 3 cards using at least one element the same on all three cards.  Our theme this month is Thankful.

I chose to make three cards using all of the same products.  I was visiting my sister when I made these cards so the die is hers and the patterned paper I used from her stash were papers that came from my Mom's stash (she passed away in 2010).

As you can see I used slim strips of the fall coloured patterned paper in a few different ways to create these cards.

*Atlantic Hearts #651*

Today I'm playing along with the fabulous new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenges...

For many of you, my card will be clean and simple... but it's not.  The all over embossed background means my card is altered, almost entirely, which  means it is not a clean and simple design.  It is crisp and clean though, and that's what I was going for.

Card Info
*Stamps:  The Ton Easy Expressions
*Dies:  The Ton Easy Expressions; Pinkfresh Studio Vines & Roses
*Washi Tape:  Pinkfresh Studio Vines & Roses
*Embossing:  Spellbinders Leafy
