*Create It 3-Way Instagram Hop

This month for the Create It 3-Way Instagram Hop, our theme is "thinking of you"... each of us plays with at least one common item from our stash to create three cards following the theme.  I chose to play with the same stamp set, the same die set and the same pattern paper...

Here are the up close photos of each of the cards I created... going from clean and simple to less clean and simple...

First, the clean and simple version...

This second one has an fully embossed background which takes away from it being truly clean and simple (although there are many who would still classify it as clean and simple.

And finally, a mini slimline that isn't at all clean and simple...

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop*

It's time, once again, for the Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop.  Each month, a group of us plays with a common theme... the twist is that we each choose (for ourselves) at least one thing to showcase in three cards using that theme.  It could be a stamp or die set, a colour scheme, a technique, a layout...  Our goal is to stretch our supplies a little more by creating different looks using the same items.

This month, our theme is "celebrate"

I used all of the same products on my three cards... but made them in three different layouts.  I also used the same size matted front panel for all three cards.

This was the card I made first... I just LOVE this pattern paper!!  I also think this is my favourite of the three (do you have a favourite?)

And then I created this one...

And finally, this one...

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop*

Each month, a group of us hop on Instagram, each sharing three cards we've made following a common theme.  The catch is, we each choose something to highlight in all three of our cards... a colour combination, a stamp set, a layout, a technique... something that will maybe help spark your creativity with the items already in your stash.

For March, our theme is sympathy cards... never something we like to make, but sadly something we need to have on hand.

In my mind, sympathy cards should be subtle and subdued.  I also like the imagery of a butterfly for sympathy cards.  All three of my cards use the same Pinkfresh Washi tape suite as well as the same sentiment stamp and die... and two of them feature the same embossing folder as well.

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop*

This month for the Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop, we are playing with the theme of birthday.  Each month, a group of us chooses at least ONE thing from our stash and we make three different cards following a common theme.  We are trying to show you different ways to use your supplies.  Sometimes I have chosen the same colour combination, the same stamps or dies, the same pattern paper, the same technique.

Today I have used the same stamps and dies for all three cards...

My first card is a mini slimline (because you know I love them!).  I chose to stamp the image on some colourful pattern paper and put them on my card.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Full of Life
*Stamps:  Simon Says Stamp Birthday Mail; Waffle Flower Sweet Birthday Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Simon Says Stamp Birthday Mail; Waffle Flower Sweet Baby Sentiments
*Tools:  Perfect Layers

For my second card, I went a lot more clean and simple, using just the smaller postage pieces that I coloured with Copics.  I layered the sentiment over the focal point to keep things more clean and simple.

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  Simon Says Stamp Birthday Mail; Waffle Flower Sweet Birthday Sentiments
*Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair Nocturne; Copics

Finally, another mini slimline card for you.  This time I added some more coloured images but I put them on to an embossed background.

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop*

I had a lot of fun creating my Love and Hugs themed cards for the Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop.  I started with a heart die from an alphabet set I have and added in a pretty pastel rainbow.  All three of my cards use these same elements (plus the same sentiment stamp and die), but I created three different cards...

First, a photo of all three cards...  The items used in all three cards are The Concord & 9th Tall Type Alphabet, MFT Something for Everything and Stampin' Up! cardstocks in Petal Pink, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party and Highland Heather

And now lets get a closer look at each of them.

I made this mini slimline card first with just the items I listed above.  I love this card so much!  I love that this one heart die cuts both the insides and the outsides to create an outline heart.

I then moved on to this second card, using the insides of the hearts from the mini slimline.  I added the MFT Stitched Rectangle layer for a little more interest.

And then finally this last card, using both the inside and the outside cuts from the heart die, placed on top of a layer embossed with the Stampin' Up! Soft Waves embossing folder.  This time I used some foam adhesive to pop up the centres of the hearts.

Do you have a favourite?

*Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop*

Today is the 3rd Saturday of the month which means I am here with my cards for the Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop.  Each month, we create 3 cards using at least one element the same on all three cards.  Our theme this month is Thankful.

I chose to make three cards using all of the same products.  I was visiting my sister when I made these cards so the die is hers and the patterned paper I used from her stash were papers that came from my Mom's stash (she passed away in 2010).

As you can see I used slim strips of the fall coloured patterned paper in a few different ways to create these cards.

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop*

Every month, a group of us play with a common theme and we each make three cards using that common theme... the twist is that we need to use at least one common element from our stash in each of our three cards.  We call this the Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop.

For this month, we are playing with Congratulations cards.  I saw a colour combination I loved online the other day and decided to play with that colour combination and made all three cards using the exact same materials.  I made each one a little more clean and simple than the one before.

For this first card, I did the floating strips technique where I adhered my paper strips to a piece of acetate and then used foam adhesive behind the  acetate to give it all some dimension (which you really can't see in this photo)

My second card uses those same strips, but just a few of them in the centre of the card... less of the card front is covered so it is more clean and simple.

And then finally, my last card is much more clean and simple.  I used a wave die to cut my front panel and I adhered small pieces of the the colourful strips behind the two panels I created.  I think this one is my favourite...

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeaid, Poppy Parade
*Dies:  Pinkfresh Slim Strips; Pretty Pink Post Congrats Script; unknown wave

*Create It Three Ways Instagram Hop*

Hello crafty friends... it's a new month and a new theme with the Create it Three Ways Instagram Hop.  Each month, we each create three cards using at least one common element in all three cards.  This month, our theme is sympathy cards... not a reason anyone wants to make a card.  For me, a sympathy card needs to be simple and subdued.  So that's what I went with.

And for something a little different, I used the exact same products on all three cards...

*Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop*

Yes, a lot of posts from me today!  This one is for the Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop.  Each month we create three cards using at least one common element following a theme.  We want to show others that you can use the same items from your stash to create different cards and looks.

This month our theme was "thinking of you" and I chose to use the same floral stamp and the same colour combination on all three cards.

For my first card, I chose to do a mini slimline.  I stamped the floral image at the top and the bottom of the front panel and coloured it with Copics.  I added a small "thinking of you" sentiment in the middle of the card.

For my second card, I stamped the same floral image and coloured it the same, but I cut it out using the matching die.  I put it on top of an embossed panel and added a die cut sentiment.

For my final card, I  once again stamped and die cut the floral image.  I placed it on a smaller front panel and let it hang off the edge.  I trimmed off the pieces that hung over the edge.  I attached the smaller front panel to my card front with foam adhesive and then glued the small cut off pieces directly to the card front to create a little something extra.

Items Used
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Stamps:  Altenew Flower Vines; MFT Something for Everything
*Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics; Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Altenew Flower Vines; MFT Something for Everything

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop*

This month, the theme for the Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop is "celebrate".  Each month, we create three cards using at least one common element following the theme.  Our hope is that we can show you how you can stretch the supplies that you already own!

For this month, I not only used the same package of patterned paper (one that I will be sad to use up!) but I also used the same word die for all three of my cards.

My first card is my favourite...  I did this one first and I knew exactly what I wanted when I started creating.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Paper:  MFT Party Time
*Dies:  MFT Celebrate
*Tools:  Perfect Layers

My second card was an idea I saw online...  some wonderful stripes and a stamped image that you don't colour.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Paper:  MFT Party Time
*Stamps:  Catherine Pooler Yay Gifts
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  MFT Celebrate; Catherine Pooler Yay Gifts

And my third card started with an idea from my friend Bonnie, who I was crafting with on the day I was creating these cards.  It was her idea to use the negative of one of my other word die cuts to create a card.

*Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop -- Birthday*

I'm here today with my three cards for the Create it Three Ways Instagram Hop.  This month, our theme is birthday cards.  Each month, we create three cards using something the same (layout, paper, colour combo, stamps, techinque) to show how we can use our supplies to do different things within a theme.

This month I had some fun with those beautiful Pinkfresh butterflies and a pretty embossing folder from the Spellbinders 2024 Advent Calendar.  I used exactly the same products but in three different layouts...  I will share as three different photos so that you can see the detail in each card, but the products used are the same in all three cards.

*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Washi:  Pinkfresh Studio Fluttering Butterflies

*Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop -- Winter Holidays

Today I am participating in the Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop.  Each month, a group of us make three cards using one common thing in each of our three cards.  We have a different theme to follow each month.  This month our theme was Winter Holidays.

I chose to use the same package of patterned paper as well as the same layout for my three cards.  All three cards use only items from the Echo Park My Favorite Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  I added some Stampin' Up! Basic Black and Real Red cardstock to create some matted layers.

This would be a great stash buster to create a lot of cards out of all of that paper you're hoarding LOL!

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop -- Congratulations*

Today is the Create3 It 3-Ways Instagram Hop... each month, a group of us get together to create three cards using a common theme.  Those three cards we create have to have at least one similar element.  For example, the same patterned paper, the same stamp, the same colour combination, the same technique.  We want to showcase ways to stretch your supplies.

I took the easy way out with my cards today as I will admit my mojo was nowhere to be found to be more creative than this.  I took the same package of patterned paper, the same stamp and the same dies and created three new baby cards... one for a boy, one for a girl and one more gender neutral.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Lighter Than Air

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop -- Get Well Soon*

I'm participating in a hop over on Instagram... each month, a group of us create three cards using a common element following a predetermined theme.  Our theme for July is "get well soon".  We can chose anything we want to carry through the three cards we create...  colours, papers, stamps sets, technique... just one thing (or more if you want) that is the same between all three cards.

For my cards, I not only used the same floral stamp as my focal point, I used the same ink colours and the same sentiment stamp and die.

I just love these large florals from Altenew... but they don't always go with with my clean and simple style.  Today I decided to share three cards that are not clean and simple... some will say one of them is, but as the self-proclaimed queen of clean and simple, I will have to disagree.

So... on to the cards....

I love the look of colours when they just pop out on black...  I stamped, stencilled and cut this flower out, added black Copic marker along the white edges and chapped the piece in half.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Images:  Altenew Graceful Gardenias; Honey Bee Best of Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean
*Dies:  Altenew Graceful Gardenias, Honey Bee Best of Everything
*Etc:  Kuretake Starry Colors

My second card is my least favourite... I like the idea but I don't love the placement of the sentiment.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Images:  Altenew Graceful Gardenias; Honey Bee Best of Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean
*Dies:  Altenew Graceful Gardenias, Honey Bee Best of Everything
*Tools:  Perfect Layers

My third card is my absolute favourite in this trio...  I used the same colours but did a lighter ink blending with them.  And I really like the brick embossing folder.

**Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop -- Summer*

It's time for the Create it 3-Ways Instagram Hop!  Each month, a group of us create three cards using a set theme... and those three cards have to have at least one thing in common with each other... a product used, colours, papers, tools, techinque, layout...  but something in common between all three of our cards.

For June, our theme is "summer" and I chose to play with an ice cream cone die I have.

For my first card I went with some bright and fun colours and a mix of fonts.  I created my colours by swiping inks on to white cardstock.

Card Info

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake
*Images:  Simon Says Stamp Big Old Birthday
*Ink:  Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spiace, Party Dress, Mardi Gras; Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Poppy Stamps Whittle Ice Cream Cone; MFT Impact Alphabet
*Tools:  Perfect Layers

For my second card I cut a rainbow of ice cream scoops to put on the front of my card.

Card Info

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake, Mango Medley, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Pacific Point
*Images:  Simon Says Stamp Big Old Birthday
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Poppy Stamps Whittle Ice Cream Cone; MFT Stitched Rectangles

For my third card I wanted to go clean and simple.  I did some ink blending on a piece of white cardstock and cut my scoops out of that... and I happened to have a scrap of pattern paper that came awfully close to matching.

Card Info
*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Basic Black
*Paper:  Paper Rose Studio Rainbow Twirl 2.0
*Images:  MFT Something for Everything
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tim Holtz Distress Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean

*Create It 3-Ways Instagram Hop -- Rainbow*

I'm playing along in an Instagram Hop today, showcasing three cards following our monthly theme (which is rainbows).  For this hop, I have to have at least one common element in all of my cards, showing that our supplies can be versatile and used in more than one way.

I chose to make 3 mini slimline cards, all using the same patterned paper and the same sentiment set...

Card Info
*Paper:  Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed

*Create It Three Ways February Birthday*

I'm playing along with the Create it Three Ways Instagram Hop again this month... our theme for February is Birthday!  Come see what the rest of the players created by visiting my Instagram account.  You'll find the post (dated February 17 2024) and will be able to click to see all of the other creations.  We'd LOVE it if you gave us some love!

Here's how it works... each month we have a theme to work with (this month, as I mentioned, it's birthday)... we then make a total of three projects (I choose to do cards) using this theme AND we have to have at least one thing that is recurring in all three cards...  a colour combination, stamps, dies, technique...  at least one thing that is in all three cards.

I like to challenge myself to do a little more than one recurring thing in all three cards...  this month, all three of my cards are portrait orientation, all three use the same patterned paper, the same embossing folder and the same stamp!

Here are my creations....

For this first one, I stamped my sentiment on a cut down piece of white cardstock.  Once it was dry, I put it through my Big Shot after lining up the big circle of the embossing folder.
This second one is pretty straight forward.... I had the embossed background and added a strip of the patterned paper down the centre of it.
For this third card, I had the embossed panel and cut it in to three pieces.  I put one piece on the green layer (before cutting it down with the Perfect Layers tool) then added in a strip of the patterned paper... then the centre piece, and a strip of the pattern paper, and then finally the last piece of the embossed cardstock.  I then used the Perfect Layers tool and my Xacto knife to create the green border.

*Create It Three Ways January Love*

I am participating in the montly Create It Three Ways Instagram Hop again for the month of January... this month, all of the participants are sharing "love" themed cards.  We have each created three different cards using this theme... and we have to use at least one thing the same in all three cards... the same layout, the same technique, the same colours, the same die or stamp set... something that ties all three cards together.

I really don't like make love themed cards because other than my husband, who would I send them to?  I guess I have a few I can give him for the next while LOL!  But I enjoy the challenge of making three cards with not only a common theme but a common element so I went with it.  I also needed something to work on during a crafty afternoon with a couple of friends that didn't require me to take my entire craft room to be able to create at someone else's house.

Here are my three cards... I used not only the same die set on all three colours, but I used the same colour palette for them as well.

Here's a look at each card a little more closely....  I used the same stamp set on two of the cards (MFT Essential Sentiments) and for the one with the big hearts, I used my Silhouette to cut out the word LOVE (in fact, I grabbed that from my bin of extras).  I used the Hero Arts Infinity Hearts on all three cards and my colours were red, black and gold.  My first card with all of the little hearts was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest... you can see the inspiration HERE.

If you'd like to take a look at the rest of the hop participants, please head to my Instagram profile and find the graphic with the three cards...
