*A Quick Tag*

Thanks to Mary Gunn and Koren Wiskmen, I decided to play along with this weeks Craft Roulette.  I have had a little extra time and have had some fun with gift tags this year.  I'm not ready to give up my Christmas creations and I don't need more cards this year, so gift tags have been a good way to create.

The parameters for Craft Roulette Episode #92 are

  • Project:  Gatefold
  • Colours:  Blue, Green +1 (neutrals and metallics are allowed)
  • Element:  In or Under the Tree
  • Random:  Tied

I made this cute little gate fold tag using a few of the scraps I had on my desk left from my Christmas card creations.

I really like how it turned out!!

I honestly didn't think much of the mini slimline idea until I tried one....  and while it's not my favourite size to work with, I do find it a lot of fun!  I created this card a few weeks ago, playing along with the Craft Roulette parameters for week #62.  The parameters were slimline, critters, blue +2 and confetti.

*Light Stripes*

This card looked so much better in my head... not that I don't like it (cuz I think it's OK), but there was something about it that wasn't quite what I had in mind.  I don't honestly know what it is, but I just though "hunh" when I was done with it.

This is another card from Craft Roulette... this is from week #51 I think

*Congrats*

I played along with Week #55 of Craft Roulette a few weeks ago where the parameters were a congratulations card using cool colours and you had to include woodgrain and food in your creation.  My only thought with a food theme and congratulations was to use these champagne flutes.  I used some patterned paper with a tone on tone look to it (which happened to be dots) to create the look of champagne and bubbles in the glasses.

*Not Older, Just Better*

This card isn't a favourite... but I was playing around with another of the Craft Roulette challenges and this is what I came up with.  Orange and I are not friends, and that was one of the parameters.  I had to make a card with circles, using orange plus two other colours, a plant (a flower is a plant, right?) and a stencil.

I created my own stencil by cutting out a background die and using it as my stencil.  I thin I should have done a lot less orange... I tried to make it very light, but that didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

*Another Craft Roulette*

I'm back with another creation for a Craft Roulette challenge... this was week #51.  Please see yesterdays post for more information about Craft Roulette... it's a lot of fun!

For week #51, the parameters were Card with Flaps, Spring Colours, Dog(s) and Book Page.  What I love about this challenge is that the interpretation is up to you.... so my book page and flap were combined to create a bookmark that you can take off and use!

*Playing Along with Craft Roulette*

Have you heard about Mary Gunn Fun's Craft Roulette?  I hadn't either.  But that changed a few weeks ago when I saw a card created by the fabulous Melissa and I was intrigued by the Craft Roulette that she was talking about.

Mary Gunn started Craft Roulette in the spring of 2020... she goes live on YouTube on Friday evenings with a guest designer.  She spins a wheel to choose the parameters of what will be created that night and then the two of them create live using those parameters).  She has a numbered list and the wheel is numbered.... she does four spins for four parameters....  Project, Colours, Element and Random.  It's a fun way to spend some time and to get in to the head of different creators.  You can submit your creations to Mary and she'll include your card in her round up video a few days later.

I've played along a few times now and love that it makes me think out of the box.  I encourage you to check it out!  I created this a few weeks ago, playing along with week #50.  Our parameters were a fun fold, four different colours, dry embossing and floral cluster.
