*White on White Instagram Hop*

 Once a month, I play along with a group on Instagram and we do a white on white instagram hop.  Each month we have a common theme and we make a card that is white on white. Our rules are a little loose in that you can use another colour in a small amount on your card... for me, that is usually just my black sentiment.

I wasn't sure how to make a white on white St Patrick's Day card... but I think I pulled it off!  A rainbow and a four leaf clover made with heart dies!

Christmas Craft Creations*

Happy Wednesday, Crafty Friends!  I'm here with my design team card for Christmas Craft Creations.  The current theme is "metallics" and there is still time to play along!  Gold and silver are perfect for Christmas, don't you think?

I mixed my gold and silver with some sparkle and shine to make it all a little more special.  I could see this card done in other colours as well, like maybe shades of blue with silver, or red and green with a Chrsitmas tree or ornament instead of the snowflake.

I don't often combine challenges, but I did for my card today.  I am using the sketch at Paper Craft Crew and the colours at Colour Throwdown.  I did a bunch of ink blending, added a stamped sentiment and some bling and called it done.

I had the idea for this card in my head as soon as I saw the sketch at the Paper Craft Crew challenge blog... but then I thought I'd try to combine the sketch with the colour challenge at Color Hues.  And it was a disaster.  I just couldn't make the colours look right with the sketch.

So I took my card panel and threw it in the recycling bin and went with my first idea instead... and I am so happy that I did!  I love how the gold and black look with the sketch!
