*Two Snowmen*

I was inspired by a card I saw on Instagram by @icardink....  I made the one on the left first and both Bruce (my hubby) and my good friend Bonnie said I needed to have something behind the snowflakes.  They both prefer the card on the right, but I still prefer the card on the left!

*Peace*

Happy Monday, friends... I spent part of my weekend first getting envelopes stamped, addressed and stamped (postage, that is) and stamping the interiors of all of my Christmas cards.  Over the next week or so I'll spend a little time each day writing some Christmas card and getting them in the mail.  I might even find a little more time to create a few more Christmas cards... I always like to have a few extra on hand for those "just in case" moments.

The card I'm sharing today is another quick and easy card using that great winter scene patterned paper from Stampin' Up!

  • Cardstock:  Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb; Stampin' Up! Seaside Spray; silver sparkle
  • Patterned Paper:  Stampin' Up!

Snowflakes really do bring me joy... I hate snow, but I love snowflakes and snowmen.

I found a card just like this on Instagram on ImInHaven's feed.  I have followed Lisa Addesa for quite a while (both blog and Instagram) and I love her style.  I pretty much copied her card here...

*2019 Christmas Cards #7*

This month at the ABC Christmas Card Challenge was three different letters and three different challenges.  This is my entry for G is for Glitz.... I used a snowflake border die cut out of light blue glitter paper, adhered to the front of a white card.  I stamped the sentiment from Poppy Stamps in black Catherine Pooler ink using my Misti so I could stamp it over and over again to try to get a darker image.

*2019 Christmas Cards #6*

Another Christmas card for you today...  the ABC Christmas Challenge for the letter F was Fabric... and since I don't have any fabric in my craft space, I decided to make myself some plaid to represent fabric.

I purchased this Concord & 9th Plaid Background stamp at the end of the holiday season this past year and never got around to playing with it.  I really like how it turned out... I used Black Jack and Rockin' Red inks from Catherine Pooler, a Stampendous die in black and a little silver glitter paper to add a little sparkle.

*2019 Christmas Cards #5*

I am back with my ABC Christmas Card Challenge card for the letter E -- Embellishment.  Once again I have left it to the end of the month...
Sadly, you can't really see the embellishments on this card.  The small light blue snowflakes are each covered with these adorable clear acrylic snowflakes.  I'm not honestly sure how those snowflakes will hold up in the mail so, *note to self*, I need to hand deliver this card come December! LOL!

I used some Catherine Pooler inks and the Christmas Wreath Builder set by Gina K with my Misti.  I added the sentiment in the centre and embossed it with silver tinsel embossing powder.  I added a thin silver matte before adding it all to a white card.

It wasn't so tough to make Christmas cards when there was a bunch of snow on the ground and the temperatures were well below seasonal average...  it was a little tougher on a day that the sun is shining, the snow is mostly melted (except for a few shady spots in the yard) and the temperature is a little above seasonal.

*2019 Christmas Cards #3 & #4*

I'm playing along with the ABC Christmas challenge again this month....  and I left it kind of late in the month to be able to do this in two different posts.

First, is my C is for Candy card... I used the Candy Cane Season stamp set and punch from Stampin' Up as well as inks from Catherine Pooler to create this card following the challenge at the AAA Cards blog.

My second card is D for Decoration...  I used a die from my stash and cut it out of both a white shimmer paper as well as a dark blue shimmer paper and did an inlay with the pieces.  I also added the bow die from My Favorite Things Filled With Joy set cut out of silver shimmer paper.  I added put it all on a dark blue shimmer layer before adding it to a white card base.  I was going to add a sentiment but I decided to embrace the white space instead.

*2019 Christmas Cards #2*

Another Christmas card for you today... I love that with this challenge I can pull out all of my favourite stamps and dies and play!  By the end of the challenge I won't have enough cards to mail out, but I'll have a darn good start!  I will still be able to spend weeks on end, focused on making Christmas cards (which are truly my favourite cards to make).

The letter B on the ABC Christmas Challenge was for Berries so I used the Gina K Wreath Builder template with some Gina K stamps and some Catherine Pooler inks.  I felt like I wanted to add more but decided that if I did anything more it would be too much for my clean and simple taste.

*2019 Christmas Cards #1*

You are *not* seeing things....  yes, this is a Christmas Card! I found a "new to me" blog, the ABC Christmas Challenge, and I've decided to play along.  At least, that is my plan here in January LOL!

For the month of January, they are doing two letters... both A and B.

This is my entry for A -- Anything Goes.  Of course I chose a snowflake!

I used some new Stampin' Up! dies I got just as I finished up my Christmas cards for 2018 and did it as an inlay on the card front which is layered on some blue glitter paper.  I used another blue glitter snowflake on the centre of the big snowflake and added a sentiment from Catherine Pooler Design stamped in Encore Ultimate Metallic blue ink and embossed with blue pearl embossing powder.  I pulled out my Perfect Layers tool to create that perfect 1/16th" border around the front panel.

My very sweet hubby has made me a light box for taking my photos in... I need to work on the lighting a bit as I realize you can't really see the sparkle on this card.  I have a new light arriving later this week so hopefully that will help.  I like how the photos look a little more professional without all the craft table mess in the background LOL!
