*Time Out Challenges #196*

I think I'm going to go back to daily posts for a while... I hope you don't get sick of me!  I've been a card making machine lately and have a lot of cards to share...  not all of them are cards I truly love, but I enjoy sharing everything with you guys.  I find it funny that sometimes the cards I'm most unsure of are the cards that get the most positive comments when I post them.

Today I am playing along with the current challenge at Time Out Challenges.  The prompt for this challenge is BRAVE.

*More Sparkle*

Another day, another sparkly card.  I truly love this Nuvo Glimmer Paste.  The Moonstone is fabulous since you can use it on anything to create a custom colour.  You could even add colour to it to create something custom to play with.  I am on my third jar of this stuff (and I've used it all up instead of throwing it out because it dried up!).

*Black and White Flowers*

I have a theme for posts lately it seems... yesterday was black flowers, today is black and white flowers and you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what the next card in the theme is.  Honestly, completely unintentional, but fun all the same!

*A Note To Make You Smile*

A while back, a creative friend of my suggested a different cardstock for when I'm playing with my Copics.  It's a little thinner than I like for a card base, but the Copics really do play nicely with this cardstock.  I'm not a great artist, I don't have patience for colouring, but I do enjoy a little blending from time to time.

I wasn't sure about leaving the floral image of this card uncoloured... but I think I like the overall feel of this card.  It's something a little different for me.

*Love & Hugs*

I'm happy it's the weekend...  I know I've only worked 2 days this week, but I am tired.  I will get used to it, I know... but for today, I am tired.  I've got nothing planned until I have to head back to work on Tuesday morning.  I truly love my job and am so happy to be back, sitting at the desk, greeting patients, laughing with my co-workers and feeling like I'm contributing to something other than the divot on a couch.  I am missing my wide open crafty time and this is working only half my regular schedule!  I'm going to have to be more focused on days I don't work if I want to create!

*Big Blue Happy*

How's that for a blog title for you?!  Geesh, I hate naming blog posts (but you know that already).

Here we are, getting late in to June already.  I don't know about you, but even with all that's going on and being at home more often than anything else in the last 3+ months, I find that time is flying by.  It seems that the older I get, the faster time is going.  I hope it slows down sometime...  I mean I blinked and suddenly I've been married for 29 years, have kids who are 25 and 23 and will be turning 50 next month.  How??? LOL

This Nuvo Glimmer paste is a product I truly love.  Often I buy these new items, use it a few times and then never look at it again until it's dried up and needs to be thrown out.  But this shimmer paste?  I am on my second jar and thinking I should order another.  I love how versatile it is and how much awesome sparkle you get when you use it!

*Big Flower Hug*

I bought this gorgeous stamp from one of my local stamp stores and then let it sit for a while.  It's beautiful, but I'm not great at colouring... in fact, I get a little intimidated by choosing colours and the act of colouring.  But I decided to go crazy on this one and just use colours that called to me in the moment.

And surprisingly, I like how it turned out.  No fancy shading, just simple colouring.

*Happy Mother's Day*

My Mom passed almost 10 years ago, but I still have a mother in law that I can make Mother's Day cards for...  So I put this one together for us to sign and send off to her...  There will be some other Mother's Day themed cards coming at some point as with Covid-19 I had several people ask if I could make cards for them to give to their moms... and of course I said YES!
To start, I took a heart die and made myself a mask for ink blending.  I then grabbed the new Fanciful Blossom stencil from Wild Whisper and blended a few colours through it.  I cut out the word "mom" and stamped on the rest of the sentiment before added a purple border and putting it all on a white card.
