*Create It 3 Ways December Holidays*

I took a break last few months, but I am back playing along with the Create It 3 Ways Instagram blog hop.  Each month, a group of us takes a common theme (this month it's "December Holidays") and we each create 3 different cards (or tags or other projects) on that theme that use something else in common... it could be the layout, the stamp set, the colours, a technique...  whatever you'd like!

I have a few things in common with my cards... I used the same layout (the April 2022 Sheetload of Cards sketch) and the same greeting stamp.  I am absolutely in love with how these cards came together!  I love a good mini-slimline!

*April 2022 Sheetload*

Before I broke my wrist, I played along with the April 2022 Sheetload of Cards... The way it worked out trying to make one card, it made more sense to make two since what I cut off was exactly what I needed for the second piece.  These two cards are the same, but different

I really do love the size of a mini slimline!

*November Sheetload*

I just love these papers from Stampin' Up.... they are a 6X6 package called Tidings of Joy and I think I love every single design.  I followed the November 2021 Sheetload of Cards designed by Call Me Crafy Al for this card... instead of using a third patterned paper for the base layer, I used a 3D embossing folder.  There is a lot of dimension in this card!

*Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler, Misty Moonlight
*Paper:  Stampin' Up! Tidings of Christmas
*Images: Lawn Fawn Season's Tweetings

*Christmas Craft Creations Design Team*

I am super excited to share with you that I have joined the Christmas Craft Creations Design Team!  This is a once a month Christmas Craft challenge blog that has some great prompts to help you get your cards ready for the big Christmas rush!  If you've been here for a while, you know that Christmas cards are my absolute favourite reason to make a card, but I usually save it up and make them from October to December.  I am hoping that by participating in a few Christmas card challenges as well as being on the Christmas Craft Creations design team that I will have a little head start on my cards this year.... and I'll get to enjoy my treasured Christmas stash regularly!

I am a part of the "reminder" team for this challenge... that means that the challenge went live two weeks ago and will end at the end of the month.  I hope you'll find some time to play along with us!

I did a lot of patterns for my card today... I bought this Photo Play Tulla and Norbert paper that has a bunch of ugly Christmas sweaters on the page... and I put the entire sheet through my Brother Scan 'n Cut to get some fun images to use on cards...  I paired all these papers and images together with the August Sheetload of Cards.

Items Used
*Cardstock:  Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb; Stampin' Up! Granny Apple Green
*Patterned Paper:  Doodlebug Milk & Cookies; Photoplay Tulla and Norbert Christmas Party

*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Stampin' Up! Nesting Ovals

Be sure to head to the Christmas Craft Creations blog to share your non-traditionals colours creation!

*July 2021 Sheetload*

This is a fun little card following the July 2021 Sheetload of Cards layout.  The smaller panel on the front (the floral part) is the part that opens.  I should have added a little ribbon or something to the design but I thought of it after things were already put together.

Items Used:
*Cardstock:  Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb; Stampin' Up! Seaside Spray, Night of Navy
*Patterned Paper:  Stampin' Up! Paper Blooms
*Images:  Uniko Wonderful Day
*Inks:  Versafine Clair Nocturne

*Pattern Party*

I am absolutely in love with this fabulous Pattern Party designer series paper from Stampin' Up!  I love the semi muted tones of the rainbow, love the patterns... and love that, for a completely different look, the other sides of each of the pages is black and white patterns.  So many options!

But once again, I suffer from "it's too pretty to be used".... hmmmm, can I get more?

For this card, I followed the May 2021 Sheetload of Cards....  check them out on YouTube!

*Let's Pretend*

I have become terrible at getting cards in the mail on time.  I look at my calendar, see who needs cards mailed for the month and then, for some reason, I always think I have more time than I do!  I usually figure it out about 3-4 days before the birthday and then send off a card right away... and of course, the postal system is totally overwhelmed these days so my card ends up late more often than not.

Trust me when I say, I have good intentions!

I used the July 2020 Sheetload of Cards layout for this card... it's a great way for me to be *using* some of the wonderful patterned paper I've collected!

*April 2021 Sheetload of Cards*

I am so happy that Melissa posted a few months ago about the wonderful Sheetload of Cards videos by Call Me Crafty Al.  While I am not the type to make a bunch of cards the same, I love the layouts for making a card using up some of that wonderful patterned paper I have been collecting (and more arrived at my door yesterday).  Not only does Call Me Crafty Al show you the cutting guide to make multiple cards out of a few pieces of patterned paper, she also includes the measurements of each element so that, if you're like me, you can create just one card.  These templates are released once a month and there are a few years worth for you to play with.  It's all done on the honour system... she just asks that you watch her video to the end to find out where to get the printable PDF.  I don't know a lot about how YouTube works, but I assume that if you have your videos monetized, you get paid when people watch to the end (advertisements and all).  I hope you'll check out her videos and try some for yourself!  CLICK HERE to go to her YouTube Channel!

Let me tell you... I didn't think I needed to try a mini-slimline card....  but I really like the size of it!  And it uses those envelopes you can get at the dollar store in a package of 80 for a $1!

*January 2021 Sheetload of Cards*

For someone who loves patterned paper, I sure haven't used it much in the past years.  It doesn't lend to my usual clean and simple style.  So I am trying to use it more often.  I'm so glad I found Call Me Crafty Al's Sheetload of Cards idea....  she posts a new template every month where you can make a "sheetload" of cards but she also provides the measurements so that you can make just one card.  As I don't often feel the need to have a bunch of cards the same, I am doing the one card ideas.

The easiest way to do these cards is to use patterned paper from a pack...  then you know all of the colours will go together.  I am using a Stampin' Up! retired paper pack for this card.

I also want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the team at Time Out Challenges!!  If you like to work with challenges, I think you'll like this one!
