It's a sign that I'm getting older, I'm sure.
I love the layout of this card.... so simple to put together. I did have a hard time deciding what to do for the focal image on the left side. I am so thankful that so many of these patterned papers are double sided so that I get a colour that goes with my paper so well.
Unfortunately, in making this card I managed to break another B plate for my Cuttlebug. I think that perhaps this flower die (from the Asterisks set) is thicker than the rest... I've had problems with it before. Anyway, the plate cracked while cutting the chipboard coaster. I've done it many times with other Cuttlebug dies, but this one just doesn't seem to be happy unless it breaks my B plate. Sigh.
The "Have a Good Day" is an image from one of the $1.50 Clear Stamp sets from Michael's. I was there on Saturday afternoon and managed to buy 8 sets of stamps plus the two sizes of blocks. Alanna suggested on an email list I am on (actually, I own/moderate the list) that to get your ink to stick to these stamps better to wash them with warm soapy water with a scrub brush. So I did that yesterday... a dish of warm soapy water and an old toothbrush. I will let you know if it worked! She said it had something to do with a residue left on the stamps during the manufacturing process.
